Yes, totally.

While this kid and D. Johnson helped turn the game against the Texans if Moseley comes back this week the secondary should be better. But don't expect Thomas no matter how well he's playing or Moseley or if it's Dontae Johnson not to give up completions to Kupp, Beckham, Jefferson and Higbee.

Temper expectations and keep perspective.
Ambry Island under construction est. completion date Week 18

I knew Ambry was going to be good. The kid just needed some time. I just wish that Lenoir had been thrown into the fire of weekly starts as well. The 49ers would have probably lost a few more games with both of the rookies in the starting lineup, but the team would have benefitted from the experience in the long run.

Ambry, however, is going to be fine. He's going to be a very good DB for the 49ers for a long time.
If we can get Eman and Ambry as our starters next week and going into the playoffs, we could possibly upset our way deep into the playoffs. Glad our coaching staff finally wised up and benched Norman
I think he's doing better but still has a long ways to go. He looks better in comparison to what is across from him but that isn't saying much. CB is still a major liability and will needed to be addressed in a big way in the offseason.
Ambry has potential to be a solid corner. He's learning and he's confident. Hope we get a legit corner in the offseason though it's badly needed.

Agree

That's why our pass rushing needs to be at our best.
No question it was his best game this season. I am not sure I trust him out there right now but At least he is showing some potential for the future.

his coverage for a rookie is extremelly good

i think hes only been burned on one play by Chase. Other than that I feel he is always in the right position

They absolutely need another consistent DE on the other side. They have one legit stud in Bosa, a good player in Armstead and a bunch of roleplayer types. Having another good edge would really bring the DL a lot closer to what it was in 2019 and put less pressure on the secondary overall.
We gonna ignore the 50 yard bomb he gave up?

But hey, he did make a play on a ball for that pick...0

TBF, it's been so long since we've seen a defended pass from an outside CB, we'll take it!

he didnt give it up it was a penalty so it was negated

I guess norman did good by not allowing a catch when he commited that PI

His issue isn't that he's not in position. His issue is he can't make a play on the ball.

The 50 yard bomb was just another example of it whether he got bailed out or not. Norman was benched for giving up a far less catch and with no S help.

norman has been out of position and getting burned pretty consistently which is why he commits so many PI

i dont think thomas has a single PI/ because he is always in position and because of that the catches he allows seem to be always highlight reel and just great plays. Im not saying he doesnt need to improve but rookie CB have the highest bust rate even more than qb because the amount that gets drafted and he is playing really well imo
