He was seen at practice limping around talking to DB coach Cory Undlin, Reportedly has a bone bruise in his right knee.. not a good sign leading up to saturday.

The Cowboys' passing game was non-existent, Thomas had (for a rookie)another great game. The arrow has been going up for him.👍👍👍

So giving up 2 catches for 24 yards to the Cowboys great receiving corps as a veteran wouldnt be considered a great game?

Whatever happens this game i dont blame any Cb on this team for getting beat by Devante Adams

He's playing better and better. I'm surprised by his progression. He's a good young player. We may have found something here.

Yep, no coincidence that our defense has locked down the last two opposing offenses (both top 5 offenses) with Moseley and Ambry at corner.

now we have to stop Adams no easy task best WR imo

We just have to limit the damage and stop the other players. A WR like Adams is always going to make plays. Just like Kupp had a good game against us, but we limited everyone else for the most part.

We also didnt have Kwaun against Rams and it looked like the Rams were lining up Kupp on Donte Johnson as much as possible.
The progression of ambry kind of shows how we need to be more patient with these rookies. The bust label is thrown out there just as much as generational has, and that goes for the landscape of sports, not just here in the WZ.

I've been saying this for years, if a player doesn't suit up or play well right away fans call them busts, players take time to develop, need patience.

Yup thats why I'm holding up hope for banks and sermon. Some guys need time to get their head right.

Then you got guys like Pettis who had a solid rookie year then got a big head then disappeared. Aiyuk got dangerously close until he got himself right and is a goddamn baller.

Rookie years are not always a reliable litmus tests. It's why we usually wait until their third year to evaluate these guys.
Deep bone bruises are no joke, but just the fact he was out there moving around, albeit a tad slower, is encouraging.

Agree, and I'll add that as a coach, you have to have the courage to play the rookie. I know one of my pet peeves of Fangio is that he doesn't want to play rookies. I think you throw rookies into the fire, as soon as possible with the caveat that you throw them in there when the coach thinks he's well prepared as possible and he's ready. One *big* reason is injuries. We all know that the 49ers have always had a terrible injury history - past 8 years, top 5 teams (or even number one) at being injured every Year!

Lol at trying to convince half the webzone to give a player more than 2 weeks before they throw the bust label on.
Im worried he might not be able to go. I read that Kyle sounded less optimistic about him vs Bosa. I doubt we can win without him at this point

Where are you reading this?

Shanahan was also optimistic about cornerback Ambry Thomas, also "questionable." He is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee.

"I'm hoping he'll go," Shanahan said. "That's why we've got him as 'questionable.' I think he'll be alright, but that will come down to seeing how he is on game day."

It may just be my interpretation. "Hoping" and having it come down to the wire with how he's feeling doesn't sound promising to me. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it lol

There's no more probable labels in the NFL and for the 49ers >90% of players they've listed as questionable have played this year.
