Business decision? Lol come on NC. I know your not a fan, but that's absurd

Haha. I'm legit just having fun on that one.

I thought we'd be eff'd without him against Rodgers.

Lol yeah was not thrilled at the prospect of Johnson stepping in. But this team has proven to be quite resilient

I actually think the weather helped us in that regard. In good conditions, 50-70 degrees and sunny, I think Rodgers would've kept throwing deep passes to wherever Mosely wasn't, either getting the catch or drawing a PI.

Oh no doubt it did, and it changed even more in our favor. It started snowing and it got windy, that 2nd half was hell for either QB to throw in.
What the hell is a bone bruise anyway and how is it not just a pain tolerance thing?
Well really need you back this week kid

Definitely, need him back this weekend. Norman just doesn't cut it.
I finally disagree with Donte Witner on something. He was saying that he loved how Dontae Johnson played against the Packers... and his Veteran experience...and his ability to roll to safety to disguise coverage makes him important in this Rams game...and that he should start over Thomas for this game, because Thomas is a rookie.

Now, I was the last guy (only guy? ) defending Dontae Johnson all these years when folks would just piggy back off the easy thing conclude and say he was horrible.

But that being said, Thomas's confidence is at an all time high... you finally have your rookie confident, playing at a high level... you better leave him at the starting position. And on top of the Thomas actually attempts to play the ball.

So if Thomas is healthy, he better start... if he's not all the way... then Dontae better start over Norman.

He snuffed out that long bomb by Stafford in the last game, so he's getting better each game. Two snuffs isn't too much out of the question. Specially with the kind of pass rush this 49er defense generates.

He's snuffed out every long bomb. Just ended up on the wrong side of the 50-50 balls early on.

Is it possible both of you aren't wrong in assessing Dontae Johnson and Ambry Thomas?

Dontae Johnson IS a veteran, and if you ask him to disguise coverage and know where to defend in zone coverage... I would agree that's why you go with him. My only problem with him is that he doesn't feel like a great man-to-man player and doesn't play the ball very well.

Ambry Thomas IS a rookie. I'd be worried about coverage busts with him. I think it was the Packers game in Week 3 that Deommodore Lenoir didn't cover his zones properly because he was supposed to drop back when he saw there was no receiver in the flat. But at the same time... I agree with you, Ambry Thomas does a great job playing the ball and is a very confident corner.

If he's healthy, I want Ambry in there, but I can see why Donte Whitner liked what Dontae Johnson was doing. The disguised coverages against the Packers were huge when the Packers have a marked advantage over our corners in 1 on 1 situations.

I don't understand how any "expert" thought those conditions would be good for a passing team.
