So did he fall off a cliff? Haven't heard his name called all season.

Best thing for the team is that his name is not heard all season. And that's nothing against him.

Amen.

Players are on a roller coaster. Demo looked good last year but never saw the field. Thomas didnt but was the next in line... and did decent. Womack looked like a lock for slot CB, now its Demo who is balling.

We have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. Could be undisclosed injuries, perceived motivation or effort... who knows. But at least on defense, every player Ryans choses to start has been a plus rather then a minus.
Someone is going to pay Mosley large $$ next year. We will need this kid to step in.

And with Ward and Verrett starting practice this week the competition for playing time will be nuts

I love both Ward and Verett when they can stay healthy. The key is health. Verett has had exactly one healthy season. His luck has been horrible.

As for Ward, there's a lot of wear on those tires.

I'm hoping to see Ward and Gypson play cover 2 with Huf playing closer to the line letting his instincts be his guide.

I would cut one of the TEs. Unless, in practice, Ambry simply doesn't look good. This is assuming George Odum gets released for Ward's return.

YES !!!! This is the. useless guy that KS10 should not have wasted his time and money on.. such a waste of time.. Mason did so well during training camp that a GOOD HC should consider using him and saving Tevin's spot for Verrett..

When Ward comes back, I think Odum is gone. TMoore seems to always be the first one downfield to cover the punt, that's his value and that's more than what Odum provides imo.
If Ambry still shows promise (in practice), I wouldn't want him cut for a Verrett coming back from a major injury. So looking at the list of depth players, I'm not cutting a DE/DT/OL, not a LB with Shaair already injured. Tyler Kroft didn't play (or got zero snaps vs Rams) so I don't see a need for four TEs (Kittle, Dwelley, Woerner, roll with 3).

Agreed. Ambry would have to.look like trash AND show a bad attitude with an unwillingness to improve to cut him.
