Dude is ballin, bye bye McGlinchy
With Moore playing so well, MM should ABSOLUTELY NOT be guaranteed as the starter next year. Definitely want to see a competition. It's a shame his salary may make him untradeable.

Cannot see MM on the team in 2023 and beyond. He'll want to start somewhere.

We could trade him assuming he's healthy around draft time or training camp. Moore's done a fine job at tackle, but I think he could be an elite guard. Team could also consider letting Tomlinson walk after this year to get younger across the OL. He did wiff many times on run blocks, but he held his own in PP.

Tackles are still very much a commodity in this league. I've seen teams trade away 5th round picks for just backup tackles that are average. There's value there, even with his contract. I could see a team offering a 3rd or even more.

There aren't 64 starting caliber tackles in the NFL. MM should get some nibbles on a trade offer. Id wait until training camp next year however. Let Moore beat him outright and have another tackle in the mix im case MM loses out (we still need a quality swing tackle either for 2023 or 2024 because Moore is likely the future).
I swear he got benched after giving up the hit that drilled Jimmy on the Aiyuk TD.

The issue is more on our end. It's a huge dead cap hit I believe since his next year is fully guaranteed.

If 49ers can find a taker for his salary cap space, it might be beneficial to trade him.

Something definitely happened. There were a few series toward the end of the second quarter where Compton was in.

Personally, I'd like to get younger across the OLine, simply because we're old. Trent Williams and Mack are not young anymore, and McGlinchy's just got a very serious injury that put the odds of him recovering at less than 60%. They have got to start looking at building a team around Trey, even if they decide to keep Jimmy for another year, which I doubt -- if Jimmy gets the 49ers into the playoffs. Jimmy's going to be trade bait for a number 1 or two number 2's if that happens.
