I'm surprised there aren't many fans talking about extending this dude. D-mo has turned into one of the best overall players on the defense.

I'm definitely on that train. Unfortunate that other things have overshadowed his play. I was upset when they didn't even try to resign Emmanuel Moseley for cheap last year. Now I know why- they had Demo. Of course we get two top tier corners in contract years.

Same. He's really really grown both outside and in.

With Puka Nakua looking like he's going to be a problem in the slot, extending Demo is critical to the defense.

True, true.

D-Mo was so damn good in the playoffs. The guy is a tone setter and has a nose for the ball. DBs that aren't afraid to fit gaps and get physical in the run game in 2024 are important. He's also only 24 years old. 49ers need to extend him.

He was solid on the outside as well.

I think he's a bit better as an outside CB, but hopefully they play him at nickel full time so he won't be getting outside CB money.
Love how much he has developed. No brainer extension. Could be our slot for 8 years.
He is a top 30 cb in the league imo. We finally have a top 5 cb duo in the league AND a top safety in Hufanga. I still wish Womack got more chances. Maybe he can be our guy, he's had a knack for turnovers in his limited play time. Leuter might get first crack outside if there's and injury or when the team goes to nickle

Luter us super intriguing to me. I hope he's 100% healthy and has been hitting the weights. I'd love to see him get a ton of reps outside.

f**k that guy's ankle. I hate his ankle. He has a long ways to go towards redeeming himself.

LOL. That was one helluva ankle injury. It reminded me of a player we had a couple years back who was out the entire year with a calf.

I think he meant because of the ball that bounced off his ankle in the SB. Lol
Maiocco and JLC are absolutely obsessed with the SCB role. 3 straight podcasts on the topic even going so far as suggesting our internal DC hire was made in part, because he might be able to help find one for us.

Not a stretch to say he could be one of the best nickels in the league next year, he actually had a better year statistically than Trent Mcduffie the all pro, and should have had more int's (Bosa penalty took one away). we are one starting corner away from having a very formidable secondary with Mooney, Demo, Huf and Brown. Not bad...
I've said before I think the reason they let Moseley walk is because of Lenoir. My hope is that an outside corner and slot corner are drafted. That way Lenoir can play one spot, as well as giving us depth at both positions. Hoping he factors into future plans.

I am also intrigued by Womack but kid can't get on the field. And the fact that Ryan played ahead of him and Oliver in the SB says something. He's entering what his third year? Needs to show up to stick.
