We haven't had a playmaker at the safety position like this since probably Tony Parrish.

No love for this man starting the season off with a pick and a beautiful hit in the endzone breaking up the pass??! Huff is a damn stud

He's our special boy!

Goldson was one of my all time favorite players. I love players who take chances like that, and he was the biggest hitter since Ronnie and Willis, but Huff is on another level IMO for making plays. His instincts are next level.

I really liked me some Donte Whitner.

I agree, but I personally felt like Goldson at his best was better than Tony Parrish.

If you really have to find the last 49ers safety who was better than Huf, you may need to go all the way back to Merton Hanks. Different style for sure, but Hanks was like the best safety in the NFL for some time.

I think we can keep Huff. But Aiyuk can get 18 - 22 IMO. A harder extension to do.

Yes Aiyuk will be harder. We have more leverage on Hufanga because he is only a 4th round pick. He will probably willing to take less to secured the long term contract. He can still be in the 14M-20M range.

If Aiyuk continues to do play this well he will want more than Deebo. Deebo had 24M a year.
