I have been up in the air on retaining him. It really depends on the price for me. I feel like they could draft a safety or two and the defense would be ok
Your name made me check out an under the radar Safety in Jacksonville contract. Andre Cisco will be a UFA after this year and he's someone this defense really could use.
Hufanga made up for his lack of speed by having nose for the ball. Some DBs just seem to be in the right place all the time. Unfortunately the bench isn't one of them.
We have 3 Safeties all cut from the same mold and that mold is what Lynch was back in his playing days. And closer to the LOS safety who plays down hill kinda like a 3rd or 4th LBer. We don't have a back end Safety who can bail out our CBs if they mess up. After seeing Cisco intercept a backside post as the play side cover 2 safety i was like we need that in the 49ers secondary.

YES! We have plenty of SS types, we need a cover general back there with speed. Or ill take a unicorn who can do both. Cisco is a good player and that would solidify the middle of the D behind Warner.
Well I guess it's a good thing he was first team all-pro that year as well
