Linebacker is just a position, you don't have to be Patrick Willis if it's 3rd and 15. He can be put in and Azeez or greenlaw can be taken out. He'll be covering the middle and short routs in a nickel defense.

As much as I loved both Rondale Moore and Tutu Atwell... They should avoid the middle of the field of Hufanga is in.

Jaylon Moore: played tackle in school but they plan to use him at guard.

Deommodore Lenoir: Nickel who could also play outside if needed.

Talanoa Hufanga: Box safety who could see time at linebacker.

I saw one site (PFF) that said he was 215 lbs and suggested he could play LB . I know the official weight is listed at 199 but these guys can add or shred weight pretty quickly.

I fo not know enough of him or his play style to say he should or should not be a LB.
But LB weight is trending down. Hell many are coming in under 230, then bulk up a little. Actually most weight is trending down.

At 215 i could easily see one being the 3rd LB. It offers huge coverage disguise, with him maintaining the ability to play safety, and good box safety on the otherside.
The niners 4-3 would be great in pass coverage, and in a league where WRs are starting to consistently be under 180lbs. TEs are moving below 250 and likely into the 30s. a focus on route running and getting LBs in space rather than blocking. Having an undersized LB may be an asset.

You just may need a good 4th LB to play in some situations against some teams. Maybe a classic >250lb run stuffer

Wow if he is 215 and that was his playing weight. Yeah i see him as a LB. He can easily get to 225.

Then you have him, dre, warner, and tartt in the box. That is some amazing pass coverage with 3 guys who can take a deep zone adequately.
