may be the only questionable pick I have for this draft. But its the 6th round, so eh.

exactly, getting frustrated about a 6th rounder is pointless. They obviously see something they like.
he is fast
Could the coaches want to see him play the slot?
Peters again cited the team's research and development crew when it came to selecting Mitchell. The department gave Mitchell the highest grade among draft-able running backs when it came to executing outside zone runs.

"Once you have the tape and you have the scouts on board and R&D says he's the highest grade on the outside-zone model and your offense is quite a bit of outside zone — I think it makes a lot of sense to pull the trigger there," he said.

True BPA selection. There was no need for another RB, but if there's a guy graded this highly still on the board, then go with your scouting.

He was a gimme pick. So many mock drafts had him going to the 49ers because of the scheme fit. I don't know if he'll ever be great but I think he can at least have a Breida like impact in this offense.

agreed
Was listening to Maiocco yesterday and he was speaking glowingly about Mitchell based off what he saw at the rookie mini camp. Maybe Kyle envisions using him in the slot to take advantage of his speed and good hands. I'm excited to see what this kid can do.

Mitchell has a real chance to stick and at 194 what more could you ask for?

This. I wish more people saw this. Even Shanahan said the same. But what does he know anyway

Just looking at the 2021 draft, the first DE was chosen at pick # 18, and about three or four DEs went in the last 3+ picks in the first round. During the 2019 draft, three DEs went before the 16th pick in the first round. (#16 - Brian Burns) so the draft clearly bears out the perception that this was a weak DE class. It's nice that ShanaLynch chose Anthony Banks, an OLineman and that was the supposed strength of the draft.

I like the Mitchell pick, he's good depth for Mostert.

Last year Mostert was whining for a trade. Maybe they'll grant him his wish.
This team has Trent Williams, Juice, Kittle and McGlinchey who are all elite run blockers. Perhaps they'll try to shop Mostert or Wilson since they are just 1 year rentals at this point and not durable.

Mostert has very little trade value.

mayo gonna mayo.

Man yall take Mostert for granted... but that's normal for most NFL fans when it comes to players. Just objects and pieces for many.

He's coming up on 30 and gets dinged up every year. This is likely his last year on the team.
