And the Sermon pick. I think Wilson was injured before the draft.

I think people are looking to much into the Wilson injury acting as if he injured himself or on purpose, I doubt it happened before the draft, I believe what this regime says, it happened on May 20th.

As for Mitchell, this kid will surprise people, he may beat our Gallman for the 3rd active back, heck he may make it so we keep 4 backs active, with him returning kicks and/or punts.

I have high hopes for Mitchell but let's not forget that Joe Williams looked like a stud once too based off college highlights. Gallman has proven to be a quality back in the NFL. Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

I kinda see a tier 2/3 version of Garrison Hearst in Mitchell's college game. He's going to be an excellent scheme fit and I hope we draw up more RB passing plays. It's sorely missing in Shanahan's playbook.
Edit. i may have misunderstood a reference in my post. Will research and post again.

I was confusing Marcus Lattimore with Joe Williams. Ignore me.

Word on the street is that Mitchell has been impressive.

I hope so, heck, anyone who can't be impressive during OTA must really go..

but, it's a different game when the pads are on!!

Wow I can see that comparison man. I been only thinking Breida cause of their speed and most recent bias
Barrows and MM both speaking very highly about this guy. Said his hands are amazing and probably already the best on the team .

Yup, one of the oldest sayings in football moon, that's when you separate the men from the boys! I would always get a kick out of it from when I was a kid in pop Warner, or little league (not sure what it's called elsewhere) the first day the pads went on and hitting started, it would be apparent from day one who would make it. Seen kids literally crying from then even in high school. My absolute favorites was the bull ring and machine gun drills which don't exist anymore, back when we were taught to "see the target" and hit with the crown of your helmet, also don't exist anymore lol

If he's as good as they been saying and he struggles to crack the RB rotation, maybe we should switch him to slot WR like the Jags did with Etiene lol. I mean what if nobody separates and wins that spot?

That was actually brought up by one of the writers on the athletic. Was either barrows or TK

God my autocorrect is absurd. Sucks that Wilson went down, but might be a blessing in disguise so they don't have to cut or stash one of their RBs right off the bat.

Oh awesome! That speed from the slot would be mighty sexy

Good point Hoov. And when Wilson does come back it may be just in time to switch him out with one of the guys that may be hurt at the time
