I noticed that obviously RB Elijah Mitchelldidn't get off the sideline, he did not play. What's your feeling on your usage of RB Christian McCaffrey? Do you need to go more to not necessarily a rotation, but just make sure that you keep McCaffrey fresh through the course of the season?

"Yeah, we've definitely got to get Elijah in there more and do better with our rotation than we did yesterday. That wasn't the plan going in. It just ended up that way and I've got to make sure that doesn't happen

That is baffling. Does he have that much tunnel vision when he's calling plays?

He also said that it is the positional coach who decides who goes in, but that yeah he should of noticed.

You never are successful if you micromanage to much. Got to trust your coaches or no one wants to coach for you.

Haha. I want to believe him but...
Having McCaffrey in even if its not designed play for him is massive, helps the play action and still have to play the pass because he's a receiving threat. Definitely want to see more rotation but in a close game I can understand wanting him out there even as a decoy

I totally get it. But Mitchell is no slouch. Maybe we see a better rotation on a short week.

This is why I asked if its on Kyle who goes in or not each play? What about RB coach etc? How can one guy manage all that within 40 seconds. That's stupid. This shows a lack of communication amongst coaches during the game.

More than sure it's Kyle, the Shanahan's entire legacy is their legendary run game. Even if it wasn't him calling the lineup he has to be aware of how many plays McCaffrey is running.
Honestly get the sense Shanahan gets off on getting him these crazy stats and knows he can do it. Made sure McCaffrey got that triple crown against The Rams

Kyle always lie about this. He is not absent minded and is fully aware of what he's doing.

Same. I think it was more intentional than not. Its against his best bud, its a divisional game, and McVay beat him to a Superbowl win.

Not sure if you guys noticed, but we needed every advantage on every offensive snap in that game.
