Yes, after the 2024 season when the contract has expired. His salary is minimal as a 6th round pick and there isn't a great or even good talent held back due to Mitchell's roster spot.
Imagine Dee Ford, given his talent, making less than 1 million per year. You're not cutting that player. Some random player that isn't even average, sure. But not a talented player.

One of these doesn't belong. Hurd never played a snap in the NFL. Everyone else on that list has done some productive things in the league at least. Dee Ford and Verrett were pro bowlers.

Makes sense for them, not for us. Hope he sticks. If he could teach his skills, I'd love for him to join our staff. Guy has crazy mental toughness to keeping coming back after so many injuries. No team is ever going to invest any real money in him.
