No idea why they even wasted a roster spot on Mitchell or TDP. Might as well have just carried extra linemen instead...

Mitchell's primarily getting carries when we're trying to grind out the clock and protect the ball. Almost every run he's getting is between the tackles in the 4'th quarter when the defense knows we're running and stacks the box. He's had 16 total rushes since September.

And Mason is much better suited for that role. Mason gotta be in the doghouse. It doesn't make sense to me.

My guess is the pass pro, blitz pick up. Mason might've blown it a few times enough for Kyle to go with the steady Mitchell. It's like a rites of passage for a RB. Like if you don't block as a WR you don't run routes.

I keep hearing this, and it doesnt make sense to me. Put Mason in if you want to run the ball, run a quick screen/out pass, etc. Then but Mitchell in if there is a longer developing play if we need an RB in there to block.

I understand you dont want to telegraph plays, but if blitz pickup is THE only reason for Mitchell to be getting all the backup snaps, then I think that Kyle is missing the mark here. Literally every time Mitchell carries the ball, its somewhere between a 1 yard gain and a 3 yard loss. I want to spell CMC as much as the next guy, but why not put in someone who can actually gain positive yardage?
Dude is sore from 5 snaps? Looks like we will draft another RB next year
1st round talent, 6th round durability.
my gawd, has a handful of carries and turns into sandy vagina... dude needs a bubble suit

reminds me of a certain someone
Ailing Mitchell. Makes you appreciate the durability of CMC even more. Stay healthy guys 🙏
With Mitchell hurting (again) and Mason having a recent hamstring issue, they have McNichols on the PS and that's it behind CMC. Davis-Price must have really not been showing much to the coaches to be let go even with the RB room looking a little thin.

I disagree. Mitchell struggled early in the season, but he looked quite good in the last few weeks. I think telegraph plays is a big deal.

Except for Jordan Mason :).
Looked like he was finally staring to run well again …so of course he's banged up
The last 4 games especially the last 3 he has been arrow up. His four game average is just over 4.5 yards per carry. It is especially hard for RBs to get into any kind of groove with only 5 carriers per game average. Even harder when 85% of those runs everyone is expecting. As for the injury he has been playing more on special teams as well so I have no idea when it might have happened.
Just cut this dude.

Running back Elijah Mitchell is sidelined with a knee injury.
