Maybe it should be Goose, if that's the case.

What's the most you would put for him? I'm scared with Sermon and Hasty still in the mix, plus you never know with Shannahan.
I'm doing $22 in my league. A little worried as you mentioned but so much potential. If you look at the break down of his game too (stacked boxes he ran against, broken tackles, etc), you'll see a really high ceiling. It made me think it was less of a fluke performance.
I don't know if $22 will be enough.
I'm debating $29 myself but honestly could go up to $40. Shanny + Wilson coming back and Sermon still in the wings scares me
I went $57 to secure him in mine. Might have the most upside of any waiver wire pickup this year. Comes with risk sure but could be great

I put in a claim for $52..... Got beat out by the commish who's winning bid was $78 on a $200 spending limit.
So I picked up Hasty for $1

That said, , rd 6 is way higher than kYle's spectacular RB picks out of the Walmart parking lot,…but still…nobody else saw what Kyle and JL did. Great job by our GM/HC.
Had some huge holes to run through but love his ability to run through contact. I thought he was a pure speedster.
Caution: this was just game 1 and that was the LIONS out there. We'll learn some more on Sun, when the horrible Eagles, ended up playing way better than anyone thot.

Was able to secure Mitchell and Jamaal Williams in my fantasy league after Mostert shut down for the year and Michael Thomas was placed on IR after taking him in the last round of my draft.

Just in from GMFB with Schrager's top 5 rookies in game 1:
Eli Mitchell, #1 , incl 4 other , really well known, high pick names but Mitchell was Peter's #1 pick in week 1….ummmm , in rd 6…….?
yeah, kyle and JL don't know squat about picking talent….(from another thread)

I got beat out as someone did $70 of their $100. That was way too much for me. Have a feeling Hasty will be heavily involved so got him this morning for nothing.

I wouldn't say it's a shanalynch problem I think it's a paraag problem. For two decades the niners skip over the obvious pick, trade down and take a bust. Or even worse, trade up to take a bust. They never do what the ravens do. Stay put and don't try to outthink the room.
case in point. We coulda had Asante Samuel jr. it was perfect marriage of need and BPA. We instead trade down to take Banks.
we do hit on unknowns. But passing up on blue chips year after year has the draft forum going bonkers. Analytics don't mean s**t if it tells you that Solomon thomas is more valuable than Mahomes.
mitchell is a great find. It also points to what a terrible pick sermon was in regards to value.

BD…I hope you know i meant that last line to be TONGUE in CHEEK. There are a bunch of HCs, GMs walking around asking, "How the hell can kyle/JL spot such great talent at RB…in the 6th fricking rd? "
Here's an even better 2nd part:
When Elijah was asked on Instagram , "How do you explain your tremendous success as a 6th rd pick who is chosen on GMFB as best rookie player in game 1 thruout the NFL?"
Eli's response: "I got mouths to feed at home".
You gotta love that.

Weird. I bid exactly $57 to get him in my league too lol. And people were flipping out about it haha.
Potential #1 RBs rarely appear in the waiver wire, so I felt it was worth the price. That and I was the top scorer in my league from week 1, but needed help from my RBs (only scored 16 between the two). Luckily I had Deebo and Amari Cooper.
That being said, really excited for the rook non-fantasy side. He looked really poised out there and ran hard. I don't know what this means when Wilson Jr. comes back or if Sermon will eventually get some reps, but if he keeps playing like be did in week 1, he'll remain high on the depth chart.
I think he subbed out for Hasty on 3rd down, no? How is he in pass blocking?
