I'm next to last in waivers order so I'm sure I won't get him .

yeah, kyle and JL don't know squat about picking talent….(from another thread)
I wouldn't say it's a shanalynch problem I think it's a paraag problem. For two decades the niners skip over the obvious pick, trade down and take a bust. Or even worse, trade up to take a bust. They never do what the ravens do. Stay put and don't try to outthink the room.
case in point. We coulda had Asante Samuel jr. it was perfect marriage of need and BPA. We instead trade down to take Banks.
we do hit on unknowns. But passing up on blue chips year after year has the draft forum going bonkers. Analytics don't mean s**t if it tells you that Solomon thomas is more valuable than Mahomes.
mitchell is a great find. It also points to what a terrible pick sermon was in regards to value.
Steelers and Saints too. There's no reason to copy Pete Carroll.
Banks doesn't even fit then scheme.

Pickup Jeff Wilson and put in the IR slot if you have it.

With the injury this guy is going to get carries. The steal of the draft. Fast with good vision and good moves. He may get above 1,000 yards this season. Thank goodness we picked him. We are going to really use him.

I have a feeling everyone clamoring for this dude in FF is going to be disappointed after spending the #1 priority or the majority of FAAB. Sermon is going to get his shot and Wilson will be back soon.
I hope I'm totally wrong though and this dude lights the league up

He might be what Shanahan was looking for when he whiffed on that RB he took in his 1st draft.

Jeff Wilson isn't back until November at the earliest....

Or in the 3rd round that he traded up for in this one?

I know it was tough sledding today vs. a very good Eagles DL...I like how hard Mitchell runs and his one-cut, get downhill style! Doing very well for a rookie, including w/ ball security.

100%. Even though his box score looks like doodoo, he ran hard and maximized most of his opportunities. It's just that the Philly run D is absurdly good.
Hopefully all he's got is a stinger and he's able to go next week. Our RB depth is looking more and more depleted by the week. I doubt Sermon suits up next week and no idea what's going on with Hasty.

Agreed, hopefully it's just a stinger for Mitchell and he can go next week.
The hit Sermon took was brutal - helmet-to-helmet as he was going down & then the fumble. Too bad that happened as it was a good first run for him.
I thought I heard it was an ankle for Hasty? I think it happened on the play where he dropped the pitch and then, as the ball was going out of bounds, got shellacked on the stupid personal foul on Barnett. Hasty was doing well up until that dropped pitch...he's so shifty and brings a little different style to the running game.
