True, but for Cade Johnson, and his speed, they could have utilized him like Deebo & Aiyuk are, I mean we do pass a good amount, now when Lance starts in 2022, or probably 2021 when Jimmy gets hurt AGAIN, I can't wait to see the offense with Lance at QB, with the weapons we have, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, Juice, Mostert, Wilson, Sermon, Gallman, and now we've addressed the OL, hopefully Banks starts at RG week 1, and Jaylon Moore wins the Swing T/G spot from Skule, who I have little to not confidence in. Same with Shon Coleman. Then he'll have the best LT protecting him.

I think it was because of all the DB's re-signed and drafted. 49ers could still pick him up if he doesn't make the 53. I bet he still winds up in SF.

I have to think Watkins got a high bonus & GTD base salary money. Teams can spend a certain amount on their UDFAs, Idk what it is for 2021, but they can't go over it, the 49ers had that $279 dollars left, gave it to Broc Rutter, who never got a chance to make the team, cut before camp when they had to go from 90 to 80.
