Thanks, that's what I meant to ask.

Yes sir! happy to help. It becomes interesting because if a handful of guys get injured, you have to be very methodical on which guys you want to bring back. I think it was 2021 when we had like 4 guys able to return but only 2 or 3 more times we could return, which sucked.

DE BRYANT
DL MCGILL
DL HYDER
OL PRYOR
QB ALLEN
WR SNEAD

Options for season ending IR:
TE LATU
DE BEAL
CB PARKER
K MOODY (though I'm doubtful)

Likely injury settlements IMO:
WR CONLEY
K GONZALEZ

Other NOTES:
DE Bosa would not count toward the 53 while he's on the reserve/did not report list, so one extra spot, temporarily.

With this all said, my initial 53 would have to look like this:
QB: Purdy, Darnold
RB/FB: CMC, Mitchell, Mason, TDP | Juice
WR: Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings, Bell, Gray, McCloud
TE: Kittle, Woerner, Latu, Dwelley
OL: Brendel, Feliciano, Banks, Burford, Manning | Trent, McKivitz, Moore

DL: Jackson, Ferrell, Hyder | Armstead, Hargrave, Kinlaw, Givens, Davis
LB: Warner, Greenlaw, DFF, Burks, Graham, Winters
CB: Ward, Lenoir, Ambry Thomas, Oliver, Womack, Jamison
S: Gipson, Hufanga, Brown, & Odum

ST: Moody, [kicker acquired via trade], Wishnowsky, Pepper

And then my final week one 53 would be:
IR w/ Possibility of Return: K Moody, TE Latu, LB Burks, WR Gray
IR season ending: DE Beal, CB Parker
PUP: CB Luter

(24) OFFENSE
QB: Purdy, Darnold
RB/FB: CMC, Mitchell, Mason, TDP | Juice
WR: Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings, Bell, McCloud
TE: Kittle, Woerner, Dwelley
OL: Brendel, Feliciano, Banks, Burford, Manning | Trent, McKivitz, Moore, Pryor

(26) DEFENSE
DL: Bosa, Jackson, Ferrell, Hyder, Bryant | Armstead, Hargrave, Kinlaw, Givens, Davis, McGill
LB: Warner, Greenlaw, DFF, Graham, Winters
CB: Ward, Lenoir, Ambry Thomas, Oliver, Womack, Jamison
S: Gipson, Hufanga, Brown, & Odum

(3) ST: [kicker acquired via trade], Wishnowsky, Pepper

Actually Bryant has $550K GTD, McGill $400K, Allen $200K, & Snead $250K

Oh well I guess we're gonna be eating salary from some guys no matter what we do....

OTC, Well thought out. Wouldn't be surprised if this how it plays out.

Only thing i'd say different is I think Grey or/and McCloud will be placed on IR (but make the 53) and then Willie Snead will make it. maybe Conley too.

With McCloud hopeful for week one or two and the limited number of return designations, my thought is that he doesn't get put on injured reserve.

I doubt Conley's injury is that serious, he probably goes to the PS.

Also I would cut Dwelley to keep Willis on the 53. I think Beal gets IR'd for the season.

what happened to Beal? I haven't heard his name in a long time. I was hoping he would be able to be used as a pass rusher on third downs.

I think we can get Willis to the PS. Only had two catches this preseason. I think there's a strong chance he clears waivers. Latu looked rough to start but rebounded and played much better than Willis in the next two games.

Plus, Dwelley with that guaranteed money probably stays unless traded. Doubtful now with Latu hurt.

How many tightends have we kept in the past? 3 or 4?

I think 4, Kyle likes having 4 TEs for some reason.

Even if cut, then signed back, the $700K goes away as dead money, since players can't double dip.

I think it'll be some combination of
Kittle, Woerner, Dwelley, Latu/Willis. If Latu's injury isn't that bad, I think he makes it.

I agree, Conley's injury not that serious. But why have him go to the PS where he is vulnerable, when he can be placed on short term IR after being signed? I think Willis makes it to PS.
