Our inability to evaluate the QB position will continue to hurt us

Can't evaluate and won't develop QB. Hence Allen is QB3 and not a young prospect.

So we have properly evaluated our QB1 and is developing him. Now you have a problem with QB3 who was QB2 with another playoff team last season.

Bears just signed Taylor .

the team is also redeveloping QB2. all these dudes are still emo over the trade. they're so mad they need to resort to crying about a QB3

He isnt "their" guy so he doesnt count. Apparently Lance should have been named QB1 at the end of last season.

I'm old enough to remember they said the same thing about WRs after Dante Pettis.

Kyle and John run this organization. They hired their own scouts and coaching staffs. They make the final decision on the roster and draft. So at the end of the day they are responsible for drafting Brock.

I don't know what you meant when you said Lance should have been named QB1 at the end of last season. He was the QB1 throughout the off-season and and start of the season. He got injured, and then Brock took the job away. We pretty much all agreed we cannot sit Brock as long as he is healthy.

He is more able to run Kyle's system.

how big is the guy if he's worth keeping ?

Like physically? Lol isn't Nick Zakelj 6'6? Big Mofo

brock lives with two giant Amazonian men
yeah.. i can see having a TW sized guy worth keeping

Nick Zakelj is a big dude, young (24), has promise to be a solid lineman. He was drafted in 2022. When I watched him play this pre season, I thought his main issue was just penalties (which are obviously a big problem) but I think he's much more capable at this point than poe and manning - I also think he is more versatile.

the big problem with our reserve O lineman this year, besides sucking, is that they aren't versatile. It's why we have 9 instead of 8. We don't have a swing player - only guys who can play either left or right

Or technically sound. Foerster loves physical profiles.

It is Foerster's job to improve their tech. Moore was better this camp than last year. Zakelj the same. Zakelj was used on both sides. I recall they felt he would be better on the inside than outside. I'm going to go back and watch some of their PS games now that the roster is set. I have a hunch I will like them both more than I thought I would after the first game.

Please do. Moore looked the same to me. Solid overall but inconsistent with mental mistakes. Zakelj just looked poor all around from strength, technique to mentally unsure of himself.

I watched the LAC game last night. Much of it was just based on results...against 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string guys from just the TV camera angle (no All-22). So:

Moore showed good strength. His footwork was correct when I could see his feet. PP was adequate. On one occasion he had a good first hit on a drive block but did not stay on his man who made the tackle 5 yards downfield. Overall I give him a solid B.

Zakelj was up and down. He showed his strength on several occasions. When his technique is on, he can dominate. His coordination in picking up a couple of stunts was good. Penalties need to stop. The frustrating thing is that he was in good position. He didn't need to hold. Overall, I can see why he made the 53.

Pryor had a solid game. Was quite good in PP.

I'm not sure this helps much other than confirm the decisions that were made on the 53.

I think my sarcasm didn't come through enough. I agree with everything you said.

Got it. There are a number of Trey Truthers in this forum, so I wasn't sure if it was sarcasm.
