Overview

Boundary corner who stays in the receiver's business all day long. He's a little undersized to be taking on big NFL wideouts, but he's a feisty cover man with good foot agility and short-area quickness and his coverage movement is fairly fluid. He's going to lose some battles due to his lack of size and length, but he plays with route recognition and ball timing to make finishing catches a contested effort. He's a little below average in run support, which could be exploited. He's better in man coverage, but capable in zone, as well, and should find work as a quality backup with CB4/5 potential.

Nice i like him

I thought they couldn't refuse if they were selected

If claimed they can't refuse, he wasn't claimed off waivers.

I thought he looked pretty bad in preseason like he didn't improve from last season. They might pass on him.

Oliver, Zakelj, and Brandon Allen had no business being on the final roster IMO.

Allen was QB2 for a playoff team last season. To say he has no business being in the final roster is ridiculous IMO

He's so good the Bengals didn't want to re-sign him and prefered Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning and his rocket arm.
Brandon Allen was not good in pre-season.
Nate Sudfeld was clearly better last year for example.
I think it would have been a better idea to keep Jamison but whatever it's not my team.
I wonder if McCrary-Ball passed on our PS to have a better opportunity to make someone's roster? Unless we get hit by injuries, he was never going to see the field with all the talent we have at LB. I wish we could've traded him for a late draft pick. Oh well.
Brandon Allen is wasting a roster spot

I would grab Bailey Zappe over Allen. At least Zappe has some upside.

Brandon Allen chose to sign with SF in FA.

CIN signed Siemian after Allen signed in SF.

He fell from QB2 to QB3, not that bad. We have seen some other dude fell all the way from QB1 to QB3.
