I think he makes it for sure, especially if Givens ends up being charged, then he's a goner.

Also Marcell Harris should make the team, he has a good amount of GTD money.

I am 50-50 on Harris, but yeah I put Hurst on. Took out Coleman. Brunskill, McKivitz, and Moore can all play both OT and OG and Coleman hasn't played in two years. Feel like it'll be tough for him to beat them out.

Cool. I think Harris makes it, they gave him $350K in GTD money, he's not a lock, but I think he makes it.

About the WRs, why no Trent Sherfield? And no Richie James Jr.? Idk about Benjamin and Sanu.

I'm torn on Elijah Mitchell, I kinda want the 49ers to keep all 5 RBs, and either 5 WRs or go light somewhere else.

Solid.

Although I'm curious to see Jennings at WR. I think his physicality can keep him around but it's going to be a tough road.

I went very similar. I didn't have Givens on my roster with so much unknown about his charge and how that will play out at the moment. I have Gallman on the roster now but if things are tight between Gallman and Mitchell, obviously you go with the younger option and draft pick. I also kept 5 safeties. I have Wilson making it right now. Game and special teams experienced.

I can't help but to theorize there was a reason the niners have been sniffing around the safety market so much this off-season. Perhaps another tweak coming to the defense. More dime looks? More safety/linebacker hybrid looks? That may also play into Harris' hands a little more as he has some experience doing that linebacker/safety role. We will see. It's all estimating at this point.

Keep in mind the COVID/new rules. Most teams kept extra OL on the PS as 8 OL needed to be active each game now so many protected veteran OL were called up each week from the PS, etc.

NC - no Jeff Wilson?

Nope. Keep in mind a ton of the cuts will go to the PS like Jeff Wilson, Kevin White, Arden Key, etc.

I wouldn't mind bringing in a veteran C, TE2, LB and CB.

Serious lack of depth at wide reciever, tight end, lb and cb

Yeah, I don't think we're done there.
GReat work OTC and AB81. Lots of good information and discussion points.
There will be some tough cuts again this year. Seattle will be ready to poach I'm sure. With only 3 picks this year they will use the 49ers cuts as their draft.

Changed my mind on Harris. I remember we moved him to linebacker and he played much better. I think we stick with that.

I think this is 90% correct. A few thoughts:

- 49ers may likely secure one more edge player given a 17 game season now. I'd drop Givens for a guy like Key w. Armstead ability to flex inside.

- If Hurd and James are healthy, then I think Sanu and Benjamin are cut. We'd only carry 5, and we'd use that extra roster spot for the secondary. Tartt is an injury waiting to happen, so we'd likely keep Tavon Wilson as a backup, and Hufanga in a "defensive weapon" role in year 1.

f**k Seattle. They will have Dj reed and ahkello whitherspoon as their starting corners this year we will be just fine.
