We'll likely keep 10 DL, Armstead, Bosa, Ford, Ebukam, Key, Givens, Kinlaw, Jones, Hurst, & Kerr/Street.
I think Kerr and Street make it over Hurst.
I've been thinking Street makes it over both lately. Obviously we have to see how these next 2 weeks go though.

Yea that last spot is gonna come down to Hurst Street and Kerr. I never trust guys who just magically play well when it's a contract year. We will get Street's his best effort this year b/c he wants a contract. sounds like he's having a really good camp. Let's see if any of them can out shine the other in pre season.

Was one short. Adjusted projected 53
Thoughts:
- Benjamin played on 1st team against Chargers. Even though he may not deserve it, he is in the Kyle Click. I think he now makes it over Nsimba who I would prefer.
- Mathews looked too good against the Chargers. No one could cover him. I think he makes the initial 53 now. Pruitt had a pretty good day as well and he is a blocker. If Kyle is smart, they cut Woerner. Don't think anyone will touch him.
- Hurd is gone. No reason to keep him at this point. Too many needs at other positions to stick him on the initial 53
- I don't think Donte Johnson makes the initial 53, but don't be surprised if he's on the initial 48 on game day. He actually started for Mosely (hamstring) today in Charger practice which tells me Kyle trusts him more than the rookies.
QB- (2) Jimmy, Trey

**Denotes International Pathway Player who automatically goes on the Practice Squad if the team chooses, but he's ineligible to play during the season.
With this roster, we'd start with $2,148,646 in cap room, we'll need around $1,691,176 to payback 17 players' per game roster bonuses that don't currently count against the cap, listed below.
QB Jimmy Garoppolo – $517,647
RB Raheem Mostert – $132,353
FB Kyle Juszyzck – $23,529
TE George Kittle – $52,941
TE Ross Dwelley – $11,765
C Alex Mack – $70,588
LG Laken Tomlinson – $23,529
LT Trent Williams – $132,353
DE Arik Armstead – $44,118
DE Samson Ebukam – $29,412
NT D.J. Jones – $44,118
NT Zach Kerr – $20,588
SLB Mychal Kendricks – $121,324
WLB Marcell Harris – $5,882
CB Jason Verrett – $235,294
FS Jimmie Ward – $88,235
FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix – $137,500
Redoing AA saves $4.528M, Laken saves $2.808M, but it adds $2.808M in dead money for 2022, AA's adds $1.132M to his 2022-2024 cap numbers, not bad IMO. I'd stay away from Jimmy & Ward's deals.
I don't see the team unloading Jimmy G, makes no sense, as IMO, Trey isn't ready to be the starter week 1, not saying he's not gonna be good, I think Trey will be amazing, just needs to sit a year to learn the system, play him on certain designed plays ala Taysom Hill, except Trey can run & throw, unlike Taysom, who can't throw.
I could see the 49ers maybe extending Laken, that would make it so, while they'd still increase how much he counts in 2022, at least he's signed for 2022, where as if just a redo, we lose $2.808M in cap room if no extension is done.

Damn dude!
Literally the only difference I have right now is Jordan Matthews over Mycole Pruitt and that's simply based on his energy, example for the youngsters and ability to play out at Z and the F in case Jennings gets hurt (and Hurd is gone) and special teams coverages. Great role model as the players and coaches are already cheering for him.

I think we almost certainly keep 10 D-Lineman. To many good, talented guys to not keep 10. We really have 13 solid NFL D-Lineman IMO
I think Bosa, Ford, Ekubam, Armstead, Kinlaw, Jones and Street are 🔒 Kerr and Givens almost certainly stick. I hope we keep Arden Key but it may be tough for him to make it. It's almost a good thing Jordan Willis starts the year on the SUSP list, this way we can keep him around without using a roster spot. He's been very active in the PS and I've been reading that he's had a very good camp. Hurst is a quality backup but I'm not sure he makes this deep unit. Barrett is pretty solid to. Man, teams will be kicking there chops picking up some of our guys off waivers.

Agree on Mathews over Woerner. Kyle's guy is Benjamin. He'll be there over Nsimba. Street is going to make it over someone. Maybe Hurst since he was injured tonight.
