I liked Mayden.

only thing I remember from Ha Ha was that undisciplined play where he left the person he was supposed to be covering to make a play where he wasn't going to make in the chargers preseason lol

I hear ya, which is why I have another projection at the bottom of my post, now that Mitchell has practiced.

Some changes would be Mitchell on 53, Hasty on PS, Hurd on 53, Pruitt cut, I'm still debating Benjamin vs. Webster, and also Tavon Wilson, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, or Jared Mayden, who I like a lot.

I think this is 99% spot on. My only change would be DFF being on the PS because I don't think he's been able to show enough to earn the spot yet. IMO, my gut says that Mayden takes his spot and serves as the tenth DB on the roster due to his versatility to play every single DB position, including inside & outside CB + STs.

Looks good. I'm leaning for Matthews over Woerner, and Brendel over McKivitz. Woerner's blocking isn't reported as much greater than Matthews' but Matthew adds a ton of receiving skill. Also, Woerner will probably remained unsigned if cut. As Maiocco said in this projection, Brendel as the backup C allows Brunskill to stay at RG if Mack goes down. Also, Hurd's experience as a running back may still intrigue Shanahan enough to keep him (if Hurd stays on the field this week).

Looks really good AB, but somehow i would love to see Brendel on that list giving us 10 OLs, esp with our hx of having only 1 starter OL in a game last yr, where we were playing guys off PS, off walmart parking lot and who knows where else. In PS he did a masterful job at C, and excelled at Pass pro. Brun is the backup at C but he could easily go to OT or OG also. Then we got no real C . Whether Brendel could call the OL blocking, IDK. But i sure would like to see us a bit heavier at OL (10 rather than 9) . Also RG and RT have no backups and Brun could end up there in case of injury , and then Brendel would be the guy if Mack got hurt.

If not for the high number of casualties at OL the last few yrs, i probably wouldn't be so concerned. Any team who watched our PS, has to have seen Brendel kept guys off our Qb. IOW, I don't see him lasting long on PS. Maybe go with 3 TEs?

BTW, that DL looks hellaciously awesome. They've actually looked really good WIITHOUT DEE and NICK. Yikes.

I have 8 OL, if they keep a 9th it's likely Brendel, but only if Banks can't go week 1, I'd have the 8 locks active week 1. But with Brendel and Coleman, they can be put on the PS without going thru waivers, so if need Brendel can play 2 games, then if needed, signed to active roster, same with Coleman.

My issue with 3 TEs is Pruitt's $637,500 dead money hit he'd leave if cut, we'd lose $500K by adding a guy making $850K, I like Pruitt, but I wish they didn't guarantee him $500K of his base, same with Kendricks $200K, the rest of their offseason deals have worked out with GTD money on 1yr deal(Sherfield, Key, Hurst, Kerr, while Harris' $250K is 50/50, I think Dwelley's entire $920K salary was risky, but he looks better IMO).

And yes the DL looks scary, it's almost a blessing that Willis got suspended, and Hurst hurt, I hate to say it, but now both Kerr & Street can make it.

Thanks, AB…i should have known there was a financial reason you had us at 4TEs. Thanks for the umpteenth lesson. Interesting scenario you laid out if Brendel plays 2 games. Good grief, the stuff you carry around in your head…thing is, that is the stuff that has to be known or …we make a bad deal. And , of course you knew what the GTD money was for each guy. Amazing job you do AB, and are one of the reasons this website is so fascinating…not to mention educational.
Did Ritchie James just get injured at the right time to stay on the team?
