I think there's zero chance they trade BOTH. I'd actually be pissed if they traded either.

Fowles is bad. Should have waived him instead of griffith

I don't know about bad but he's not one of the top 5 LB's. True they should've kept Griffith.
Wednesday's 53

QB- (2) Jimmy, Trey
RB- (4) Mostert, Sermon, Gallman, Mitchell
FB- (1) Juszczyk
WR- (6) Aiyuk, Deebo, Sanu, Sherfield, Hurd, Benjamin
TE- (4) Kittle, Dwelley, Pruitt, Woerner
OL- (8) T.Williams, Tomlinson, Mack, Banks, McGlinchey, Brunskill, Moore, McKivitz
DL- (10) Bosa, Kinlaw, Armstead, Ebukam, Key, Jones, Street, Givens, Ford, Kerr
LB- (4) Warner, Greenlaw, Al-Shaair, Harris
CB- (6) Verrett, Mosley, K.Williams, Thomas, Lenior, Johnson
S - (5) Ward, Tartt, Wilson, Hulfanga, Mayden
K- (1) Gould
P- (1) Wishnowsky
LS- (1) Pepper

PUP

Wilson
Moore

Short Term IR
Hurst

Key Cuts
Hasty (he may get snatched up by the Rams who are desperate for RBs)
Nsimba
Mathews (should make PS)
Ha Ha
Flan (should make PS)
Jennings (should make PS)

-Very tough calls which shows just how talented the 49ers are this year.
-I am basing this 53 on what I think Kyle will do, not I.
-Not sure how it ends up today, but this is my projection for tomorrow, Wednesday.
-Have to keep Mayden. Good DB prospects get snatched up quick
-I think Kyle loves Flannigan-Fowels but will think he can pass through waivers easier. Most teams will overlook a 210lb LB.
-Jennings gets cut over Benjamin. Kyle loves the threat of speed to take the top off of defenses. Makes it much easier to open up underneath with his YAC Receivers.
-With 2 rookie CBs as backups, Kyle will feel he has no choice than to put Donte Johnson on the 53
-Kyle will stick with Pruitt as the 4th TE mostly because he's the second best inline blocker next to Kittle. Woerner is good in space, but needs to improve inline. Kyle will not want to take a chance and lose a lot of his running playbook should Kittle miss games.
-Lastly, it's Gallman over Hasty. Kyle needs that smart Veteran that can pick up blitzes. Plus, he is an effective runner.

This, you can never have too many solid rotational pieces on the dline especially in today's NFL where every qb is passing like crazy.

Agreed. Givens is the better trade bait because he's an ERFA and someone could lock him up easier after this year. Streets is finally realizing his immense potential this year and he should not be going anywhere.
Interesting names on the cut list so far that may hold interest for the Niners:

Bengals cut Michael Jordan OG former 4th round pick

Redskins cut three WR's in Steven Sims, Kelvin Harmon and Antonio Gandy-Golden.

Anyone else catch your eye?
Michael Jordan from the bengals any good? I mean probably better than Compton or Banks…

I will actually be a little surprised if Jennings doesn't make it. If it were up to me I would probably keep him over Sanu.

That was a tough one for sure because he deserves it. BUT he's so similar to Sanu and Hurd in skill set and even Deebo at the Z, given he's relatively an unknown, my guess is they feel safe getting him to the PS. But I certainly could see your point of Jennings > Sanu. That really could happen.

Given his name, he's worth a look
Jake Brendel, MyCole Pruitt, and Josh Hokit all released.
