QB (2) Lance, Sudfeld
Easily understood.
RB/FB (6) Mitchell, Juszczk, Davis-Price, Wilson, Hasty, Sermon
Jumped it up to 6 RBs with the understanding that we will lead the league in rushing attempts. I believe we will focus on more inside zone with Trey's ability to make it 11 on 11. That's why I have Sermon making it. My prediction is Davis-Price becomes lead back by mid season.
WR (5) Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings, Ray-Ray, Gray
5 is all we need with the emphasis on running.
TE (3) Kittle, Dwelley, Woerner
Easily understood. Should Kyle get a boner on a better receiving TE available, this is the 3.
OL (9) Williams, McGlinchey, Mack, Moore, Banks, Burford, Brunskill, Zakelj, West
I think Mack comes back with a bigger contract. This frees up Brunskill to become swing tackle. Bye bye McKivitz. Adam Peters said Zakelj will get reps at center. May be future center. Moore wins starting RG and Banks wins LG.
DL (10) Bosa, Kinlaw, Armstead, Jackson, Turray, Givens, Hurst, Ridegeway, Willis, Hyder
No need to keep Ebukam's Contract. Both Jackson and Turray will be better pass rushers with Willis & Hyder to be edge setters on base downs until Jackson is ready.
LB (5) Warner, Greenlaw, Al-Shaair, Flannigan-Fowls, Burks
Easy Peasy
CB (5) C.Ward, Mosley, Thomas, Womack, Verrett
With Verrett back on board and assuming he is healthy because I know he's motivated like no other, 49ers place Lenoir and Castro Fields on PS after passing through waivers, no problem.
S (5) J.Ward, Moore, Odum, Hufanga, D.Johnson (CB/S)
Never thought I'd say this. No way they get rid of D.Johnson after coming up big as the Best Swiss Army Knife of last season. Especially in the playoffs.
ST (3) Wishnowsky, Gould, Pepper
Wish they had drafted Matt Araiza of SDSU and cut Wish. Araiza has an out standing Kick Off leg and is a booming punter.
I think I'm starting to lean towards 5 WRs too, I know Kyle loves to have 6, but with guys like Marcus Johnson & Malik Turner being vested vets, you don't need to have them clear waivers.
I still think McKivitz makes it, and I think Verrett begins on either PUP or IR, I have both Castro-Fields, & Lenoir making it, I don't think either passes waivers TBH, but that's my 2 cents.
I also wish we took Araiza, but I like our draft.
So we have convinced each other of a couple of points. Yes, I thought about Verrett starting out on PUP which is the right play. Verrett may be desperate to start season on 53. If he starts on PUP anyway, Lenoir makes it. We will agree to disagree on Lenoir or Castro-Fields not making it to the PS and McKivitz making the initial 53. Otherwise we are on the same page. Going to get fun, now!

Not bad, close to what I did for my site. https://49erscap.com/index.php/2022/05/02/my-post-draft-way-way-too-early-49ers-2022-roster-projection-both-53-man-practice-squad-with-notes-1-0/
Outstanding. I like the odds layout.

Unless Purdy excels in camp i don't see anyone rostering him.

Hiw is Omenihu not on alot of you guy's projections? Offer some form of flexibility and was one of the best rushers on our team last year.
I see him making it over Willis.

Teams don't roster 3 QBs often but this would be the situation.. Suds with his league and system experience will likely be beyond Brock by week 1 however if Brock shows enough we may value preventing him from being poached over the roster spot..

TBF I have Omenihu making it, I like him to take over Arden Key's role of playing Outside & Inside.

And his fully GTD $2M lol, still don't get that signing, made no sense, if Jimmy had been traded, ok, but he wasn't, probably one of the only things I have wrong with this offseason.

We did keep 11 DL last year on the original 53.

Oh, NC, wouldn't Turay be more of a Ebukam type, & Hyder more of Bosa, DE wise on the depth chart?
Basically Ebukam, Turay, & Jackson are that LEO(Speedy rusher) position, Bosa, Willis, Hyder, Omenihu are the other DE spot.
