QB (2) Lance, Purdy
Prediction-Sudfeld gets moved to PS at full pay, He doesn't want to go anywhere else so he stays in QB Room. Purdy quickly moves past Sudfeld in camp.

RB/FB (5) Mitchell, Juszczk,Davis-Price, Sermon, Mason
Prediction-They want to protect Mason. Wilson and Hasty go to PS without having to go through waivers.

WR (5) Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings (3rd WR), Ray-Ray, Gray
Prediction-Keeping 4 TEs in lieu of 6 WRs

TE (4) Kittle, Kroft, Woerner, Mathews
Prediction-Other than Kittle, Mathews shines in camp as best Move TE. Not sure Dwelley gets picked up by anyone else. Could end up on PS.

OL (9) Williams, McGlinchey, Moore, Banks, Burford, Brunskill, Brendel, Zakelj, Skule
Prediction- 49ers will not take chance losing Burford and Zakelj. Skule is the back up Swing over McKivitz who I think makes PS not having to go through waivers as a Vet.

DL (10) Bosa, Kinlaw, Armstead, Jackson, Ebukam, Givens, Omenihu, Ridegeway, Turray, Willis
Prediction- I think the 49ers pick up another NT to back up Kinlaw that can hold up against a double team. Ridgeway is not know for holding up for long and is injury prone. Willis could be odd man out at that point. Hurst out unless he make PS as a vet.

LB (4) Warner, Greenlaw, Al-Shaair, Burks
Prediction- 49erw only go 4 LBs. Gemmel and Flannigan-Fowles makes PS.

CB (6) C.Ward, Mosley, Thomas, Womack, Lenoir, Castro-Fields
Prediction- Strategically, Verrett is put on injury designation to return, Dennard makes it to PS as Vet to replace Castro-Fields for games.

S (5) J.Ward, Hufanga, Odum, Moore, D.Johnson (CB/S)
Prediction- 49ers keep D. Johnson on 53. Johnson's more than adequate versatility, may not be under the radar anymore.

You lost me at Purdy over Suds.. how do you get past a guy with starter potential in just a few months as mr. irrelevant..

Hopefully, I gain you back after Purdy beats out Suds in camp. Sudfeild has never started a pro game so Purdy and him are at square one. Based on feedback from various writers and comments from Kyle and Lynch, Purdy's best trait seems to be reading coverages and making quick decisions. Aside from that, he is also more athletic than Sudfield. Sudfield is a coach in uniform. Not sure he ever starts a game in his career.

No way we keep 4 TE's. Too much comp at other positions to be able to make room for a 4th TE. Also Fowles will never make it to the PQ. Too much playing time for another team to not grab him. I can see him as a trade candidate. I got Fowles, Ebukam, and Wilson JR as my 3 possible trade candidates.

Should they keep Mathews as 4th TE, he can play Big Slot WR as well. He has had seasons of 73, 85 and 67 receptions as a WR. Runs in the 4.5s (4.45 Combine), which will allow us to have two speedy TEs in the game at the same time

Doubt if we get anything for Wilson or Fowels in a trade. Best case scenario a 7th. What do you think we can get for Ebukam? I want to give Ebukam another season. He seemed to be coming on at the end of the season. We can re-structure his contract if we want. If we did trade him, I would want a comparable talent NT in return to back up Kinlaw.

Has Mathews even had double digits catches in the 2020's?
Our 4th Edge, RB, WR, LB, CB or S will have more impact than Mathews as a 4th TE. PS maybe
Why is Dee Ford on the team?
The 53 2.0

QB (2) Lance, Sudfeld
Looks like Sudfeld is ensconced at 2nd QB, for now

RB/FB (5) Mitchell, Juszczk,Davis-Price, Sermon, Mason
Prediction-They want to protect Mason. Wilson and Hasty go to PS without having to go through waivers.

WR (5) Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings (3rd WR), Ray-Ray, Gray
Prediction- No need to have over 5 WRs with such a heavy run game.

TE (3) Kittle, Kroft, Mathews
Prediction-Other than Kittle, Mathews shines in camp as best Move TE. Woerner may end up on PUP at start of season. Mathews already showed good in practice. I think he beats out Dwelley.

OL (9) Williams, McGlinchey, Moore, Banks, Burford, Brunskill, Brendel, Zakelj, McKivitz
Prediction- 49ers will not take chance losing Burford and Zakelj. In fact, Burford started out 1st practice as RG1. Looks as though McKivitz edges out Skule.

DL (11) Bosa, Kinlaw, Armstead, Jackson, Ebukam, Givens, Omenihu, Ridegeway, Turray, Willis, Nkemdiche
Prediction- I predicted 49ers would pick up another NT to back up Kinlaw, hence Nkemdiche was picked up. He has great gifts and Coach K will bring it out of him.

LB (4) Warner, Greenlaw, Al-Shaair, Burks
Prediction- 49erw only go 4 LBs. Gemmel and Flannigan-Fowles makes PS.

CB (6) C.Ward, Mosley, Thomas, Womack, Lenoir, Castro-Fields
Prediction- Strategically, as predicted, Verrett is put on PUP. Dennard makes it to PS as Vet to replace Castro-Fields for games. 49ers want to keep a very raw Castro-Fields.

S (5) J.Ward, Hufanga, Odum, Moore, D.Johnson (CB/S)
Prediction- 49ers keep D. Johnson on 53. Johnson's more than adequate versatility, may not be under the radar anymore.

2.0 is better. 11 d lineman is overkill. I don't see any way Nkemdiche makes the roster unless Kinlaw is hurt

If he gets enough playing time in the preseason he might beat out Ridgeway or Givens.

The 53 3.0

QB (2) Lance, Sudfeld
Prediction- 49ers still might bring in a Veteran to back Lance.

RB/FB (5) Mitchell, Juszczk, Davis-Price, Sermon, Mason
Prediction-They want to protect Mason who is skilled at running inside/outside zone as well as pass receiving. He surely would be picked up by Seahawks who need a RB. I have Wilson out and Hasty out. One or both could make PS.

WR (5) Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings, Ray-Ray, Gray
Prediction- No need to have over 5 WRs with such a heavy run game.

TE (3) Kittle, Kroft, Dwelley
Prediction- Mathews was my hot take to make team prior to injury. Still think he would have made 53. Woerner ends up on PUP at start of season. Dwelley may squeak in again if Tanner Hudson doesn't beat him out.

OL (9) Williams, McGlinchey, Moore, Banks, Burford, Brunskill, Brendel, Zakelj, McKivitz
Prediction- Still think they go with 9 OL. Burford looks entrenched at RG. They won't take a chance of losing Zakelj. Obviously, 49ers hope Brendel wins Center job even though Brunskill is out performing him in terms of blocking. If Brunskill could snap the ball, he'd beat him out. So we'll see.

DL (11) Bosa, Kinlaw, Armstead, Jackson, Ebukam, Givens, Omenihu, Ridegeway, Turray, Willis, Nkemdiche
Prediction- If we went with 10, Willis would be out but they love Willis. I think Nkemdiche needs to stay to have a back up NT for Kinlaw. Givens has trouble holding the point of attack from double teams and Ridgeway is good in spurts, but lacks endurance and is injury prone.

LB (5) Warner, Greenlaw, Al-Shaair, Burks, Flannigan-Fowles
Prediction- Added the 5th LB back in with a change in the DB selections.

CB (6) C.Ward, Mosley, Thomas, Womack, Lenoir, D.Johnson (CB/S)
Prediction- Strategically, as predicted, Verrett is put on PUP. New take on what's being reported at training camp. J.Ward has been taking a lot a snaps against WRs especially during one on ones. He may be the guy who comes down to cover the slot on 3 WR sets with both Hufanga and Moore coming in. Moore is looking good. Womack is now sharing snaps with Dennard on the 1st team maybe trying to see if they can slip Dennard onto the PS. This allows an extra slot to add to another position group which I did with LBs.

S (4) J.Ward, Hufanga, Odum, Moore
Prediction- Ward opens the season covering the slot on 3 WR sets.

Is this the right thread? There is another one about 53 prediction and this one is last season?
I dont really care and apreciate the effort put in by you guys. I'll just visit both threads.

I don't see Hyder not making it, Nkemdiche is a longer shot IMO, of the two, Hyder makes it IMO.
