Yeah, very well could be, I like Davis, only true backup Nose Tackle IMO, I hope he plays well, & his potential keeps him a 49er on the 53.

Bryant would be my first choice as a guy to cut, but with Bosa out they are super thin at DE.

1. So you have Danny Gray making the initial roster in order to be on short term IR? If so, who doesn't make initial 53?
2. I noticed 49ers put Zakelj at LG when Banks when out at practice the other day. So, that doesn't factor into the 49ers cutting him?
3. If this is your "next day" roster, what is your initial roster?

Ah, I would have the team cut Allen, Hyder, & Bryant, then re-sign them next day to same deals they signed during the offseason.
I can see Zakelj making it, I'm not sure he deserves it as of now, I hope he can prove me wrong, I'd love for him to develop as a backup C after 2023, Ilm Manning as a IOL & Swing T would be nice.

Thanks AB. I would love to see everyone's initial roster before Tuesday's deadline. That's when the rubber will meet the road in terms of who you cut and take a chance on losing.

Yeah for one game then they can waive him to try get him on their PS.

But I was really referring to Payton apparently wanting him before he chose the Niners. He would have just ended up going on Denver's PS as well.
