The point is it makes more sense trade wise to declare that right now then to declare an open competition.

Zettel is re-signed on the DL. He actually didn't do all that bad during his time here in 2019. Played some meaningful snaps down the stretch and in the three postseason games. Being back with Kocurek might be the best for him.

Best news of the day for 49ers? Nick Bosa, Dee Ford and Jalen Hurd were not on today's transaction report, which means they passed their physicals. They certainly won't be full go to start camp tomorrow, of course, but they should be on the field in some fashion.

Zettles only use is to confuse the defense and make them think Bosa ain't resting on the sideline.
