That was for you on fair and balanced reporting.

But he was talking about the film prep...not the 30 minutes they stand around listening to a D.J. before shutting it down after 20 minutes.

Wait so Lombardi thinks they're soft or no? Have no idea what this statement has to do with bias reporting and your "theory"?

Huh? Lombardi? He just posted a quote.

I meant I was providing you some content that stated the opposite of the 49ers practices being soft.

You even debate when I throw you a bone.

Master debater?

LMAO. That's something we all have in common.

I still believe in Trey as the long term solution, but it's clear the plan for Jimmy to start this season was the correct route to go.

That can't be assessed until after the season. If we start Jimmy and win the Super Bowl, then it was the right decision. If we don't, then it was the wrong decision, because we will have nothing to show for stunting Trey's development in favor of playing someone that won't be here. Jimmy's injury history is going to prevent us from getting a lot in trade assuming he plays at a similar level as 2019.

Man remember how stunted Rodgers and Mahomes were for having had to sit behind a vet and learn? Oh wait that never happened.

Zing lol.

Don't forget Tom Brady

And Jake Locker and Johnny Manziel.

So Locker and Manziel were potential Hall of Famers but the teams stunted their development? Man that sucks for them

I don't see Trey beating him out this year, based on how JG is looking - which is great for us fans. As long as we are winning and competing for a chip.

I think we will trade JG and recoup some of our draft capital. If he has a really good season and stays healthy - he has a team friendly contract for a starting QB, relative to what everyone is getting now.

im super excited for this season. I hope our team comes out ready and fierce, not how we did against the cards last season.

You say based on how Jimmy is looking. What is that based on? Is it based on what the coaches are saying? What the press is saying? The coaches always say everyone looks great. It can't be the three short passes he completed in the pre season game.

Seriously, I do think Jimmy's the starter and if he does well then it means the team is doing well. He isn't the type of QB that can excel if the team sucks. Few QBs are.

Just pointing out other players who sat out a majority of their rookie year and it didn't work out. If people wanna cherry pick the GOAT and 2 of the most talented QBs ever as examples I'll use others. And just so we are clear I do think Lance is a more talented player than Locker and Manziel.

Here's a quick little anecdote. When I did Tae Kwon Do as a kid, one of our rival schools master was Tim Bates. He was Master Bates, but we had to call him Master Tim. We all giggled and called him Master Bates behind his back

Now on to the niners. Go Trey and Jmmy go!

Lol this thread, the Trey thread, and Jimmy thread are funny. It's just everyone disproving someone else by stats that support their argument. You can literally find a disproving fact or stat about anything. Yes some QBs thrived sitting a year, others didn't. We really need to find new things to argue about Trey and Jimmy. like their hair styles
I'm excited for the two practices and the game on Sunday, especially looking for Chargers's beat writers' perspective.

Manziel didn't have the mentality of an NFL QB. Trey Lance at 21 is already more mature than Manziel ever was. Irrelevant example.

pretty sure they will not be giving extensive 49ers reports

Not much depth pieces, but even a cursory opinion from someone other than the beat writers banging the same drum is nice.

Rodgers, Mahomes and Brady have all won Super Bowls and proven successes so therefore they are also irrelevant examples.
