and Nick actually lit it up a couple times, didn't he have like the most yards thrown in his first couple starts or something like that?
Yes. I think he was only behind Peyton Manning, Cam Newton and Marc Bulger

If Trey doesn't play with the starters, including the starting offensive line, then it's not a true competition. He doesn't have to start, but there has to be a 1-to-1 comparison with the first team offensive line.
And as Kyle said, it would be more about facing the #1 defense than anything. Garoppolo wakes up in cold sweats because of Fred Warner who's picked him off 8 times already. LOL

He's having fun out there. He was giddy like a like a kid on that podium. Great kid, I hope he makes it.

Mayo i love yo but you need to calm down with Trey.
People aren't hating on Trey if they don't think he should start week 1 and there aren't really any negativity about him here outside of people stating the obvious which is he needs to work on some things.
It's to be expected and nothing to panic about. We're gonna make it!

When they start doing those things in real games I'll get excited.

It wasn't just @grantcohn that heard the Chargers laughing at Jimmy Garoppolo yesterday. He was just the first to report it (that I saw). Also, Grant stayed vague with what was said. Below is from a Niners Nation story where Kyle Posey shares specifics. pic.twitter.com/74fssMTdG6
