Trey would have gotten so much backlash for that pick six.
Im still not understanding how Jimmy gives us such a huge advantage over Trey.
My biggest problem with the way Jimmy has played so far in the camp versus Trey is the Interceptions. I think Jimmy has thrown like 3x the number of interceptions this camp. If he is going to be more turnover-prone than Trey then I am not even sure he gives us the best chance to win right now. We are a running and defense strength football team. Now to be fair to Jimmy it sounds like he has moved the chains a little more consistently than Trey but if Jimmy is going to cause way more turnovers. Then I also am not sure he gives us much of an advantage over the rookie.
INTs in practice situations are overblown.
Yea, Jimmy never throws these interceptions in a real game. It's not like he's been in the top 10 highest int% since he's been here or the league leader in int% / ADoT.
I agree with boast that interceptions in practice are not a big deal. In fact, I want a QBs interceptions to be a bit higher then normal. Practice should be when QBs and the offense test out what they actually have and try new things.
BUT, mr grizzled vet Jimmy is still throwing the same exact interceptions that he always does. Feels like Warner has more receptions then a few of our receivers do. Jimmy isn't dipping his toes in uncharted waters. He's not trying to test out the limits of his abilities. He's still just making the same mistakes he always has.
That's what I don't want to see. If Jimmy was airing it out and threw a bunch of deep interceptions then great! Sounds like Jimmy's really trying to work on his deep ball.
But nope, same interceptions in the red zone to the sideline and same interceptions over the middle to linebackers.
That's what's disappointing to me.
