It wasn't even one year

I agree completely about the super bowl meaning everything. Get me a super bowl idgaf how or what happens after lol. I understand your frustration with Jimmy but man, I wish we drafted more win now guys to get that super bowl. Instead, assuming Trey develops, we have extended a window but lessened this years chances.

This is the kind of logic that marries teams to mediocre QBs for years and years. There will always be some excuse to fall back on no matter how much talent we surround him with. It's time to just move on already.

Damn dude, you are predictably pathological. As soon as Trey is able to play quarterback at a higher level than Jimmy, he will get his chance. It is clearly not yet, and anyone who knows the difference between throwing a football and playing quarterback knows this already. Your irrational hatred for the starting qb is clearly clouding your ability to reason.

I don't believe we have a realistic chance to win a Super Bowl with Jimmy this season. The circumstances that helped us get to the Super Bowl in 2019 aren't likely to happen again. Jimmy would have to massively improve for this team to be able to overcome the other top teams in the NFC and nothing we've seen so far has given any reason to believe that's the case.
If there isn't a realistic chance of winning the Super Bowl with Jimmy this year, then what is the point of rolling with him? Boosting his trade value? It seems unlikely we're going to get a team to trade us anything significant for him, especially if he gets injured.

No, No we don't have to accept it because it's simply not true.
Jimmys record when healthy is impressive.
Period.
certainly not top 5 but definitely top ten (when healthy)

There's no hate. It's just the truth. Jimmy's just not that good and we're just spinning our wheels by starting him. He's not the future of this team and it's delusional to claim otherwise. If we go with him this year it'll slow down Trey's development and likely not bring us anything worthwhile in return.
We'll probably have an above .500 season with Jimmy and that will be a good enough result for Kyle(not that going with Trey is necessarily going to bring us worse results, it's just harder to predict). However, if we're thinking about what gives us the best chance of winning a Super Bowl in the next 3 seasons, then we should be focused on Trey's development and the fastest way to develop Trey is to get him as many live reps as possible.

Most of the league views Jimmy as a bottom half QB. Somewhere between 16-20. He works in a system like Kyle's that rely's on the run and the short quick passing game. He likely wouldn't do very well in a system that called for him to carry the load and make a lot of big plays.

As much as I like the joint practices, doesn't seem like the NFL is too concerned with COVID at all. This could ruin the season as all teams are doing them.
Interesting observation:

Watched highlights from Chargers channel (49ers low-lights) and noticed a trend.
The majority of the PBU's shown were largely in-part due to ball placement.
Balls were thrown high, behind, and not on time which put the DBs in position to make plays.
