Does a dual QB approach work?
I think it 100% works if you're winning, and by game 12 or so you have a definite #1 (should both be healthy).
Going into the playoffs without defined roles is another story.
it doesnt work if you are switching qbs just to switch them though
It makes sense to give certain packages to Trey because his arm and mobility

Duel quarterbacks. rotating quarterbacks never work and is stupid. you screw up timing. you screw up leadership and its the quickest way to divide a locker room. just beyond dumb

And we're spending all of this time debating about which QB will get to take the credit for the wins the defense gets us this year.

Hands down most fascinating 49ers practice of Shanahan era. Just as I've been talking about for a while, he mixed-and-matched Garoppolo and Lance with both the first- and second-team offenses. Shanahan even swapped QBs multiple times mid-drive based on down, distance and defense

Today is also the best Dee Ford has looked, IMO. He's been powerful and is has used his hands masterfully. Combine that with Nick Bosa's sack on his first rep back, and this has been a shades-of-2019day for the 49ers' edge rush

tired of carrying the offense

No. There are no examples of it working at the pro-level. Some might point to Taysom Hill, but he only attempted about 10 passes in total when Brees was healthy.
