If Fred Warner went against Trey instead of Jimmy those numbers would look a little different. Not a knock on Trey or Jimmy. Fred's a beast! I think he picked off Jimmy at least 3-4 times this camp. I might even be shorting him.
Maybe, but it's not like Jimmy doesn't have a history of giving the ball to linebackers.

Very true… but grant also has a history of inflating numbers to fit the narrative. Just compare his numbers to the other beat writers that actually have respectability and don't click bait the F out of their articles. There's no way Lance only had 4 ints, seemed like every day it was JG getting picked off by Warner or Verrett but then Lance getting picked every other day by Mayden or whoever the scrubs were.
Tbph Lance likely threw some pretty bad balls but with that arm strength and playing against scrubs no one could catch them. Just look at the LAC game. He knocked the wind out of the LB throwing right at him even the announcers were laughing
I'm all for the best QB starting, to the sadness of many thats JG. Lance makes a ton of mistakes that don't show up on the stat line but would against a 1st team defense. That's not a bad thing… win with JG now and live with his couple WTF throws a game. Then when he eventually gets hobbled Trey will have had the time to pick up more in the QB room and eliminate some of those rookie mistakes.

Lets also not forget Jimmy had the 1st team o line, and 1st team receivers, and kittle, etc etc to bail him out. Its all relative if you want to bring up Lance going against scrubs. And if you consult Cohns archives you'll see Aiyuks name pretty often too in his practice breakdowns sooo let's clear that BS up right away cause it was always a question of well if it's the 2nd team D why is he even out there. I Haven't seen any update yet. I am not sure if anyone asked the question or not. The most info I have seen is that he has been out the past two days. Barrows said he didn't think it looked serious. That doesn't mean it isn't something serious though.
