New coaches and 1st game are absolutely unpredictable

Same story with Chip Kelly wasn't it? Huge week 1 win followed by.... yikes.

It's kind of a theme for our new coaches this century.

Dennis Erickson beat the Bears, went 7-9.
Mike Nolan beat the Rams, went 4-12.
Mike Singletary (in his first game as the non-interim coach) beat the Cardinals, went 8-8.
Jim Harbaugh beat the Seahawks, went 14-4.
Jim Tomsula beat the Vikings, went 5-11.
Chip Kelly beat the Rams, went 2-14.

Kyle Shanahan is the exception and lost to the Panthers and now he's our longest tenured coach this century.

Another drill where everybody stands around watching one guy. You could run 3 of these guys at once.

I was timing this and everyone was finishing this in 9 to 10 seconds. Except Bosa who finished in 7 seconds.

Is anyone considering betting everything they own on the 49ers destroying the Detroit Lions? I'm seriously thinking about pooling every dollar i own, taking a loan on my 401(k), doing a cash refinance on my home and putting it all on the 49ers to beat the Lions.

I've never been more confident in a victory in my life. The Lions are absolutely terrible. I'm getting major 2019 vibes from this 49er squad. We're mostly healthy (knock on wood) and are better at almost every position against the Lions.

While I believe we will win. I would never bet against a first time head coach. History of first time head coaches pulling out a W cause the opposing team had nothing to gameplan for is something to be cautious of.

Example: Tomsula beats the Vikings.
i thought that was the start of something big.,.. good god cc.. lucky i jumped off that ship after game 3

I remember Hyde's spin move to paydirt and thought the same thing...what a mirage that team was. Thought we could compete again that year but really it was just a polished turd of the team that Harbaugh had.

Not to mention that 1st games of the year can be weird. That said, I think the Lions will get buried.

I didn't hear anything about Verrett. So that's got to be good news right?

Good to see Ford and Bosa doing everything in practice.

95 Street looked pretty good too. Did you mean 56 Ebukam instead of 58? Don't think we have anyone with that number. Isn't it crazy how Bosa moves so much better than everyone else?

edit: Just rewatched... who is 58?

edit #2: It is Barrett
