Realistic expectations for the season.

Yesterday morning expected wildcard. Yesterday evening 5-12.

Miami hit a home run with us.
Have at least 1 player from the starting lineup not get injured.

The choices on your poll itself are not realistic.

7-10 if we are lucky.

Dude it's not only looking bleak this season but it looks like it's gonna be bleak for some time before we back to super bowl , with no firsts for awhile, how it's been like being a niners fan, harbs era was last successful era we had really, consistent winning seasons, this Kyle lynch has been a one year wonder only so far

I am afraid you might be right.

I see Trey Lance as a 3 year project before we know whether he is boom, serviceable or bust.

So, the quickest wait will be 3 years and by then many of our current star players will already be towards the end of their big contracts, meaning we probably wouldn't have been able to take advantage of Lance's cheap contract, that is if he works out of course.

But, if Lance doesn't pan out? Then, I am afraid I can't look that far ahead to even have a rough guess how long it will take before we can get back to the big dance.
Maybe 5-12

I was shocked at all the 12+ win predictions in the PYMWYMI thread.

I couldn't go over .500 (I did choose 9-8) because I couldn't trust that we'd stay healthy and it's only been 4 games and we're in trouble already.
After the bye week we will hopefully get healthier. Then we can possibly go on a run Vs a weaker schedule and build some confidence.

Sure hope he works out because if he doesn't this regime will be fired and we looking at another complete turn over, man the future not looking good, Kyle needs to right this ship ASAP while we have the prime years of these star players like bosa and kittle

The good news is that we never pick well in the first round anyway

Use this season to learn - next year will be here soon enough - that's when we'll make our move.

Wildcard
The Disney optimist in me says they'll have a turning point… something will kick in at just the right time when they're at their lowest, find some magic and bounce back for a crazy good rebound!

but nah, this team will check out soon in a couple of weeks haha
