Haha-Trent was way open even a blind can see and Jimmy would have found him.
As I said what was the first read, if they are open the QB will go for that

He wasn't even close to as open as Kittle was…not even close. let's be objective here.

Jimmy's throw was between the hashes, Trey's throw was outside of the hashes. Jimmy's arm isn't making that throw. Not like that.

IMO Jimmy would have checked it down to Aiyuk coming across on his first read. He was open too. So no he wouldn't have saw him because he wouldn't have even gotten to that read.

it was also across the field, Kittle wasn't that far across. Jimmy's arm isn't making that throw.

I'm 100% behind Jimmy(and Trey(crazy concept, I know)) but the main thing about that throw is the placement. Instead of throwing it more down field where the coverage could catch up, he feathered it towards the sideline making Sherfield more open than he was. I'm not sure Jimmy has that touch.

Jimmy would have found him, but Jimmy would have had it batted down. His arm can't get it there like that.

Yeah I'm not trying to hate on Jimmy either, that throw from outside the hashes like that is a reason they drafted Trey. He can attack the whole field…is what it is.
That Trey TD made possible with his arm strength because the coverage was closing in on Sherfield. Weaker arm would have gotten it contested.

Yeah there's no chance Jimmy gets that ball there
Anyone else excited about the new rule? Our run/block game just got more exciting.

It's a stupid rule that doesn't make sense. Every team will exploit the s**t out of it. We will end up getting flagged at a crucial point because it's us.

Kyle will exploit the ish out of it. I think we'll be one of the teams that will benefit from this.

So Trey played with no OL, no running game (be curious to know how many runs we played during his tenure), no WR (3 drops, wr cannot be open on simple slants), nl game plan...
And people are already arguing that he is, or not, the future of the franchise....
Kyle is hard with him, will not put him in the confort zone because he really trust him.
Reminds me Poppovich with Tony Parker some years ago.
KS saw the talent, liked the guy but will push him to bd the best of the best because he is the missing piecd for us to win multiple super bowls
One thing that seemed unusual, at least to me, even though Mahomes was only in there for a hot second Henne actually was better against our defense than Pat. That was super weird. Maybe it was just they wanted to show absolutely nothing on film their starting offense plans to do when games count.
Meh

It's preseason. Means nothing. The good thing is there were no significant injuries.

We won't get an honest assessment of Trey until he's in there with the one's.

trey excuses? We got an honest impression of Trey last night. He's a rookie, and he looked the part. He'll need time to adjust to the NFL, like all rookies do. He has a big arm, which we knew. We didn't get to see his running ability yet, KS is saving that for the regular season. Trey needs time t react to what he's seeing out there. This will come around with more live action. Overall, he didn't do anything to dull the shine of a potential great NFL future. Also, there is no need to bag on JG just because Trey is your new favorite player. JG looked very good last night. This team is in a very good position to make a serious run this year. Here we go faithful. Buckle up!
