You still probably don't want to put him out with third-stringers. Probably smart to let him leave the game on a really positive note.

Calm down, everyone. Clearly, his play has been up and down this preseason. Didn't say he can't be more consistent. Just needs to play more consistent.

Yes he does, all QB's do. Do you think Jimmy should start over him is the question. That's the point of preseason,to determine the roster and starters.

Jimmy needs to start the season, and Trey needs as many preseason and practice reps as possible, and a few snaps early on in the season.

And then when Trey has seen enough — possibly this season — or if Jimmy further regresses, then Trey will take over.

That was the difference between our QBs in 2012.

It's for this exact reason that you need a Lance. To cancel out/score with an Allen/Mahommes etc. Jimmy isn't bad at all but Trey is special

Well... that's why Kyle and John went all in on Lance and gave up all that capital.

Although Kyle pisses me off of how he used Lance early on, he wanted Lance for a reason. And Jimmy's play was part of that reason, even if some don't want to accept it.

with the amount of injuries we had last season....its good to see how players in your system preform in it....you never know when you have to call them and bring them back.....i think we played 85 different players last year due to injuries
