What are people complaining about with him?

Runs soft, mediocre burst/speed/size.

Hmmm don't see that at all…only thing he's lacking is long speed
One of my biggest pet peeves: Punt Returners running backwards.
All this complaining and crying about trey lance, but no love for wish today? My god those are some punts

that he's soft, goes down easily

It's pre-season and he knows he is a lock to make the team. Why risk injury? I don't want my starters to try and break every tackle and run for every inch. We had people complain about Kittle's one run after the catch today where he tried to run someone over.

You don't need it in this offense either, look at Alfred Morris coming out of college. There's room for both speed demons like Mostert and more physical, agility-based runners like Sermon.

Hope he carries it over to the season
Liked Mitchell in special teams work today. Confirmed his roster spot

Personally, I didn't like his choice and number of cuts. A lot of times they just slow him down and make him lose yards. I actually think he's a tough runner. But with Mitchell and Hasty, you saw with how fewer cuts they took and how they gained a lot more runs by being decisive....while having only one-two timely cuts.

Gonna be some tough cuts

Yeah. Hard decisions at a ton of positions.

He should do it in real games, then maybe I'll turn around on that 4th round pick

I want the player to be balls to the walls every time they touch the ball. If they're going too hard, I want the coach to pull them out. I definitely don't want the players to ever be holding back, that's a terrible habit to have.

The only exception is a QB taking off and trying to break tackles

I like Gallman better as a runner.

Keep your eyes peeled
Not a good sign for Gallman or Mathews that they're are the last playing in their position.
