Defense and run game have been on point. If everyone stays mostly healthy, this team wins at least 9-10 just off of those factors.

yup

2019 all over again

Hopefully the passing game won't be needed like it was in the SB though

What was needed in the superbpwl was a defense that can hold a ten point lead with nine minutes left in the game...

I think he's muscling balls in cuz the windows are so much smaller. With experience, he'll get the timing down on the window sizes and adjust when / how hard he needs to throw it

Lance has like around 400 total pass attempts since his freshman year of high school. Anyone who thought he was going to be anything but really inconsistent as a passer this year was only deluding themselves. He's got a lot of work to do but he does seem to have the right attitude and work ethic to get to where he needs to be.

The notion that he was going to start and run the league as a rookie who averaged 13 passes a game in the FCS was always pretty nuts. Dude needs to be brought along slowly while doing nothing but studying film and throwing passes, all day, every day.

Exactly. The team has laid out the plan since day one, as plain as day. All you had to do is take them at their word. I understand some folks either got caught up in the hype, or just have unrealistic, unreasonable expectations of a raw kid like Lance. Rushing him could ruin him.
Good post man.

I don't see the point In giving Sudfield playing time.

Not surprised, as you're not an NFL head coach.

Let me guess, Is this one of those, "Kyle knows more than the fans on this forum" comments?

There's a very high likelihood that is a factual statement though. Do you disagree?
I doubt we'll see the constant QB rotation in the regular season. It's hard for the QB and offense to get into a rhythm with all that constant changing. I imagine it's a little different for the O line as well since Trey is more mobile and might move around more. I like it for an occasional change of pace like if they wanted to run a hurry up no huddle offense or down inside the 5 yard line.

Hasty is why I thought it was ridiculous taking Sermon in the 3rd. Mitchell was great where we got him.

It's pre season. I'm still not sold on hasty yet... Most running backs look decent at this time.

Not Sermon

I know not Sermon right? Who needs a running back that can break tackles and power ahead. You've got to be kidding me. But then again your takes on Mac "I pass for 6 yards per attempt" Jones and Trey Lance have been laughable at best

They've been spot on so far. I bashed on Lance, Sermon, and the blimp guard from ND, they've all looked bad or either been hurt. And Mac has looked extremely poised in the pocket and comfortable running the Patriots O.
Furthermore, I stated I liked the Hufanga and Mitchell picks and they've flashed.

Well go have a cookie, and ice up that elbow.
