As depth goes he's better than Johnson. That's all that truly matters.

Love the signing, better than Johnson, who I think will be brought back to the PS, which is the right move IMO, he's still a decent CB in case of injuries, but you don't want him full time starter.

I gave Cohn one view so that you don't have to.
Norman and the rest of the dbs at practice today.

Clinton-Dix was released and not re-signed.
Oh! That was fleeting. Thanks.
Norman was out at practice today:

Verrett was out there running drills. Not sure where the reports of his having a bad foot are coming from. He's had a few games off in the preseason too

Not feeling his attitude already on that call. He should be ecstatic he's coming here and has an opportunity to be part of this team.
And the agent said "Hey Josh, we have the 49ers where we want them". Ummm, I think the 9ers are the one's in control and you need them more than we need Norman.haha
Just watched the video...think that was taken out of context.
To me he wasn't saying "we have the 49ers at our mercy"
He started by saying "you've been very particular about what you want"
To me he was saying SF fits what you want in a team...he immediately mentions a good D and team ready to compete and win now that were on Josh Norman's "want" list
I agree with this. He seemed to be playing it cool on the phone call and right after. Might well have been staged. He did flash a smile a little while later though. He was destroyed after losing the superbowl with Carolina and might want a chance to go back. He isn't going to get many more.

this is a great defense, not because of its CBs but, because of its DLINE.. This is just a veteran signing asked to solidify a backup role

I like the signing. I imagine he has humbled some. He has a shot at a ring. I would expect him to be on his best behavior. Harris can still come off the IR. Hell we may even get Moore back who is depth at CB if we need it. Point is Josh needs to keep his tude in check and help the team win a ring however he can.

JV and Kawaun are the only proven CBs on this roster.
we have zero depth at CB. It's a good signing for sure.
Maybe 4 years ago. Dude is trash.. We still have 0 depth. Saying hes better than DJ is debatable. Folks just falling in love with the name like they did with Ha Ha.

No he's not even close to trash. Much better. Most teams don't have a good 4th cb anyway and it isn't debatable saying he's better than DJ. Hell, Fred Warner is a better cb than DJ.....maybe Kinlaw too

Agreed not even close to trash, especially for a depth signing.

I'm surprised too, but I think he maybe too injury prone. Same with Malik Hooker, pretty solid Safety but dude can't last a half a season or even one game into the season.
