Norman and the rest of the dbs at practice today.

Verrett was out there running drills. Not sure where the reports of his having a bad foot are coming from. He's had a few games off in the preseason too

Not a great pickup. Just ok. He fills depth which is what we need.

The 49ers announced they've officially signed CB Josh Norman. To make room, the team released CB Dontae Johnson

Happy now, b***hes?
He'll be back. You can count on it.
Him and Jordan Matthews live in a small house on the facility grounds so they can be recalled at a moments notice. Its called the "Roderick Green House".
The #49ers signed CB Dontae Johnson to the practice squad and released LB Elijah Sullivan.

It's quite possible Johnson is elevated from the P-squad to play Sunday vs. the Lions, depending on how the week goes.

i don't know why all the hate for this signing... we kicked the trash heap and found a tire with some tread on it, I'm pretty excited as CB depth is our weak link this season and if JN can gives a few starts in a pinch and hold his own somewhat then we are golden

Anyone hating this signing doesn't understand the business aspect of the NFL. It's a great signing for the money and need. We don't need him to be Josh Norman from 2015, nor are we paying him as such.

Norman > D.Johnson. Norman aint the corner he used to be but much better than Johnson. Its not like we were going to get a top notch CB right before the season starts for a reasonable amount. I think this is a great signing given the time and circumstance.
