Want a FIRST DOWN, throw towards 26!!!

didn't work on the last play of the game.

that's cause they didn't NEED a 1st down !!

He can't really cover anymore but he's worth one forced fumbles a game because he's always punching at the ball. If he doesn't get his fumble he seems garbage but if he does then he seems above average

He can cover he just allows the catches so he can get those forced fumbles. Can't force the fumble if you don't allow the catch.
He's the biggest liability on the 49ers defense. Kudos to DeMeco Ryans for hiding him and not allowing the Vikings to pick on him to much as he had help.
I don't care how many fumbles he forces, he's an absolutely terrible CB and is capable of single-handedly losing games. Every DC will do whatever they can to go at him each time because they'll get a PI or a completion.

Wish they'd figure something else out but it's like they're stuck with him. I'd honestly put anyone else back there.

The issue we have is that anyone else we put back there will be targeted and give up just as much, without the forced fumbles.

Going to have to roll with it.

He has matched JJ Watts career high in fumbles forced already this year and has six games to play. There's a solid chance he breaks Tillman's record of 10 in a season. That's not poo poo. He has been better with the PIs lately, and holy crap man what do you want from a guy that was on the couch in september? He has been a fantastic pickup by the FO.

+ a little bit of veteran leadership in the room.

Exactly this. People in here are acting like Norman was in the preseason plan. He's an off the street FA, ffs. If the coaches thought Thomas or DeMo were ready (or if Verrett was healthy), dude wouldn't even be on a team. There just aren't enough good CBs in the league to have any real depth. It's hard enough to find put 3 good CBs on the field, especially if you are paying a QB. If your best starter gets injured, you should feel fortunate if you can put someone on the field who isn't costing you the game every week. Norman for sure could be accused of costing the game 1 or 2 times, but they've shown they can win games with him.

I'd love for DeMo to get another chance, but they seem focused on making him a Nickel now. Thomas seems a little too Akhello to me: all the tools, inconsistent confidence. We'll see. Love to be wrong on that one.
Norman's forced fumbles are great on this team that has badly needed to create TOs. Fortunately, they've created more TOs recently. Just hope Norman, in trying to punch out the ball, also makes sure to consistently wrap up. Especially when he's out there in space on the edge like Sunday's game where the RB Mattison shook him off and ran around the end for the score.

Up to this point, IMO, I would say Norman has been a decent #2 CB. Much much better than what the 9ers had in the past 5 years.
