Hands to the Face 2.0
There are definitely some eye opening results today. Look what happened to the Bills, and how bad the Chiefs defense looks. Also Aaron Rodgers doesn't look like he wants to play. I'm just happy for the 1-0.
i hate refs moving those sliders to make game interesting
Hopefully Kinlaw is back next week. The "He's only a good run defender" doesn't seem so "Only" now.

Fan A: PULL THE STARTERS! IT'S A BLOWOUT! YOU'RE RISKING INJURY! THIS COACH IS TRASH! WE WILL NEVER WIN A SUPERBOWL WITH HIM!

Fan B: "WHY DID YOU PULL THE STARTERS? THE LIONS ARE COMING BACK! THIS COACH IS TRASH! WE WILL NEVER WIN A SUPERBOWL WITH HIM!

its clear he helps the interior run D that was the only problem i had with the D till the Verrett injury

The first month is all about getting the W. Every team starts at 0-0, thinks they have a chance, are probably the healthiest they're going to be, and prepared to fight hard for 4 quarters.

Add to that the teams that have entirely new coaches whether it's HC or on O and D and with no tape on them it's very easy to see how upsets can happen.

Week 1 you take the W and move on.

Probably an unpopular take, but aside from Verrett, this was the ideal scenario. Get a big lead, see how good we can be. Lose that lead due to 2 key mistakes by star players and still succeed and win despite that adversity. See how good we can be, but understand how quickly that tide can turn and still make enough plays to win the game.

JG - played a fantastic game, much respect for how he has handled this off season.

Verrett - I'm sick for this young man. So much heart. I wish him well.

Ryans - we all knew there would be a learning curve here, hopefully can grow into that role like Saleh did.

Mostert - can't stay healthy, but man, was Mitchell good. Think he just ran out of gas in the 4th.

I thought Feisty Hasty coulda have been used more..

I thought there were some FB SCREENS that shoulda been called..

but at least we WON!!

Indeed! No matter how it comes, a 49er victory is a good day in my house!

REAL FANS don't wear BLINDERS!!

I think GB will be back to form by the time they play us in 2 weeks

Yeah, the Lions came back to make it a game but it's nothing against the 49ers. The way the game is set up today shoot out is the theme. The defenses are handcuffed, so what do you expect.

Our defense was horse collared!

Hopefully the close call will humble guys a bit and create good coaching opportunities.

i know Ryans is taking some heat... The score was 41-17 with 7:31 left in the 4th when we stopped the Lions on 4th down....turnover on downs.....The Niner defense had a bunch of stops and a pick 6 at that point....the Defense was looking really good....the offense punting and the Lions had a 12 play drive vs semi prevent defense....One thing that might be over looked....Due to the injuries, the Lions got to save their timeouts (which came in handy) .....also they got a little more time in between injury timeouts to settle down and call the right plays vs the Niners semi-prevent defense....The huge question was where the f*cking holding calls.....i saw way too many over looked by the refs......Its f*cking sad that Refs "making it a game" still going on....so, Ryans called a great game 3 1/2 quarters....the last 7 minutes was rigged NFL bullsh*t
Did anyone ask why Aiyuk got no next to nothing and sermon was inactive?

The NBCBayArea guys said he might still nursing a hammy so nothing was really called his way. As far as Trey Sermon ... all Shanny said was "we activate 3rbs on game day"
