The Falcons moved the ball easily. Poor red zone execution and penalties buried them. They also can't tackle. This game was 15-6 late in the 3rd and the Falcons f**ked up just about everything up to this point. We f**king roll. Take the 9ers to cover -3.5.

31-20 9ers.

I think you only watched the first quarter. Falcons offense had the 5th fewest yards in week 1.

Not too worried about the Eagles and their qb. Dline Just needs to bring hard

They played like they have nothing to lose yesterday. We definitely need to bring it to them next week!

The offense they ran was really interesting. Tons of motion - quick screens to their shifty and fast wr core - read options - horizontal runs by sanders who looked sharp. This will be a huge test for Fred Warner and I think Greenlaw being healthy will be extremely important.

I think it's going to come down to Williams Vs smith in the slot, the quick passing game is going to nullify the pass rush so it's up to the DB's to be sticky on the short quick cut Routes

Agreed, the linebackers in coverage are gonna be key... the Lions TE Hockenson and RB Swift they had 21 targets between them(162 yrs, 2 TDs)....I'm sure the Eagles will try to do something similar with the short/medium passing game planning for this week....I think the last thing they want is for Hurts to sit back and try to throw deep passes and risk sacks....i think they will go with a lot of 1st reads and quick passes or tuck it and run....i think the 49ers should crowd the line of scrimmage to confuse him/mask the coverage....

And Kinlaw didn't make the trip…

wow, really? Like his knee can't take the pressure differential for a flight?

What's the point if he's not going to be available for any of these games.

To me it signifies the seriousness of the injury and it reduces the likelihood of him being a contributor this year.

Don't tell that to NY85

I'm not surprised at some of the reaction here because we're all emotional about our team. But as usual, there are several people that need to relax and understand the role that luck plays in football. The Lions recovered both fumbles on Sunday AND an onside kick. If even one of those PURELY LUCKY things doesn't happen, we win EASILY. The niners average gain per play was 8 yards (even though we were sitting on the ball late which drives the average down). The Lions were throwing like crazy in the 4th against our prevent defense that was handing out yardage in exchange for time running off the clock, yet Detroit still only averaged 5.1 yards per play for the game.

If the Niners had even reasonable fortune, this is a laugher and everyone's confidence would be sky high. The only real concern here is the Verrett injury. That is legitimately a problem going forward. The early run defense was scary, but it tightened up nicely in the 2nd half. The Niners outclassed the Lions, and very good fortune for Detroit was the only thing that made this look at all competitive. We have a very talented team still and unless we have a lot more of the awful luck we've had with injuries and how the ball bounces, the Niners are a team that nobody wants to see in the playoffs.

People also forget 1 huge detail.....we put our BACKUPS on D for a lot of drives. That is the only reason Detroit even was in the game. I love it how people don't mention that. Maybe they didn't actually watch the game or turned the channel for at least a quarter.
This will be an emotional game played for JV.

49ers scored 41 points in their first game of the season. But they will score more in this next one.

48-17

It will be the offense that carries the team in the beginning of the season until the defense gels.

Let's not forget that our team is the most feared in the west.

Please beat the Eagles. I'll never hear the end of it at work if they don't. Play disciplined and mistake free as possible and we should get a win without so much drama this week. Go Niners!!

Yeach, I've been watching the replay and haven't fotten to when the score got crazy. The entire first half it really felt like the Falcons were the better team. They moved the ball easily, PHI had some splash plays but struggled consistently moving the ball.

Who said Kinlaw didn't make the trip? Why are you guys spreading misinformation?

So Kyle is hoping Kinlaw practices tomorrow…he going to practice back home on his own?

He's clearly with the team. It's just a matter of how his knee feels.

The amount of people just blindly trusting things on here is scary.

Brandon Aiyuk didn't get any targets because Shanahan caught him being a drug mule for one of the Mexican cartels. Pass it on guys. Totally true story.

Tbf... The entire D looked bad Sunday, but yeah, the only reason Detroit had a chance was because of a couple of lucky bounces that went there way.

Whats the deal in Philly. Should I expect to be tortured as a niner fan?
