Falcons are straight up awful

Do Falcons even have a running game, lol at Cordarrelle Patterson being the top rusher.

Yeah, they were running all over PHI early in the game. I backed the replay up a little bit and they mentioned at 10 min left in the 2nd quarter that ATL already had over 100 yards rushing.

So many penalties by the Falcons. Good lord they played a sloppy game. Totally undisciplined play.

Some examples: 3rd quarter, 15-6, 3rd and 5 from their own 22, they get a big 20+ yard play that's negated by a completely unnecessary OPI by Ridley, didn't affect the play one bit. Backed up to 3rd and 15 from their own 12 they get 3 yards on the next play then their punter knocks it out of bounds and the Eagles get the ball at the 50. They then have a 3rd down, RB screen and 2 guys miss a tackle for loss and it goes for 20+ yards and the Eagles score on the next play.

They had a bunch of false starts and holding calls.

They didn't tie any of the run game success into the passing game.

Their DE's played really, really poorly. Bad contain, bad rush angles, allowed themselves to get scoop blocked too often.

Sloppy play, sloppy coaching, sloppy execution.

Lol all summer fans were convinced they'd steamroll the Lions and Eagles before the real test in week 3, now because the Lions got a few flukes go their way after some of the teams defensive starters were taken out after the starting corner tore his ACL in a blowout, fans are panicking….give me a break

Lol this and because the Eagles beat the sorry ass Falcons. We don't have Mullens gift wrapping them the game this time around, execute and we win this game

The Eagles Linebackers are horrible and the Dbacks including safeties are not much better. Kittle could have a monster game here. Remember he had 15 catches for 180 yards in last season's game vs the Eagles. They don't have a Linebacker or safety that could cover him. I am surprised Pitts didn't have a huge game on Sunday vs the Eagles. But maybe the playcalling was just horrible .

100%.
That and ATL didn't tie the run game success into the TE game. It's like they don't really know what they want to do on offense. They ran a lot of wide zone and were getting good success with it but they didn't capitalize. For example, if you're getting the WZ going like ATL did, the SAM will have to aggressively fill the C gap and the DE become a strong edge player to control the D gap with the corner being the force defender. When a team plays it like that(as opposed to having the SAM become the D gap player or a safety) You then look to get your TE on out breaking routes off play action as he'll have outside leverage - they didn't do that too often. When they hit Pitts on those routes, it was in straight drop backs. When they went PA, they attacked the hook area of the SAM, which doesn't put as much strain on that LB with how they were playing it.

Your best options when facing this style of play from the defense is to either hit some corner routes to the TE or slide concepts with the TE taking the crossing route as he'll slip behind the LB. They did neither.

If you do that, you force a change-up on defense and that's when you will open up the intermediate middle of the field for guys like Ridley - a la how we did it with Deebo vs the Lions.

i like it
The eagles offense will be better than what we saw vs Detroit. We better be ready.
I expect their run defense to improve. Just like our run D wasn't very early either. Hurts has Russell Wilson like mobility and quickness. Our Dline better get their wheels ready and wrap up.

Yea we have always had issues with running qbs. The front 4 really need to control the game. Eagles o line is better than Detroit's. Jimmy and the crew gonna have to put up points. Big test for the right side of the o line. Fletcher Cox is 10 better than anything Detriot has upfront. Who will step up at CB

and not put up points too QUICKLY, lol. eat up a lot of clock, give the D time to rest; something the D didn't have a chance to do we were rolling so well on O

what are your biggest concerns going into this game vs. Philly? also, do you plan to do breakdown videos or no?

I'll be at this game. Is there a tailgate thread for this one?

Whats the deal in Philly. Should I expect to be tortured as a niner fan?

Yes, unless their fanbase totally changed. I went to a Monday Night game a long time ago, and made sure I was in stealth-mode. Another 49er fan sitting next to me was wearing a gold 49er jacket, and was pelted with ketchup and beer all game long. Fireworks were being set off right in the stands. This was the game that Philly decided to install a holding cell in the stadium for unruly fans until the police came.

In the 90s? I was at probably that same game, at the Vet, and towards the end of the game someone shot off a flare gun that went from one side of the stands to the other. Only because the eagle fans left early is why someone probably didn't get hit and die. They are animals. If you wear red/gold you will be targeted. I live just outside Philly and will not take my kids to the game

Yep. I live about 1.5 hours away from Philly. I'm not taking my family to that game. I went to D.C. in 2019 and we had no problems. But I don't trust Philly fans. No thanks.

I'll be there in a black Bosa jersey that has a little camo in it. Maybe they won't see me. It's discreet. I'll be with some Eagles fans so hopefully im protected
31-24 Niners . Not skurred of these eaglets

49ers scored 41 points in their first game of the season. But they will score more in this next one.

48-17

It will be the offense that carries the team in the beginning of the season until the defense gels.

Let's not forget that our team is the most feared in the west.

AZ, LAR, & SEA lol at this

AZ & SEA lol at this, but LAR agrees

I don't think nobody fears anybody in this division. All teams and fans think they're the best right now in this division. And we all should be tbh

If the NFL ever fixes gamepass, yes. I posted it on twitter but an article came out last saturday where the NFL was adjusting their timetable for fixing gamepass coaches film from right before the season started to the end of this week to early next week.

It's ridiculous. Other areas like the UK have coaches film up and running but the NFL somehow managed to make gamepass horrible in its interface over the course of 217 days between the SB and week 1. They added all these features not many people care about but broke coaches film.

EDIT: apparently they're going to run an in house test of the fix, "in the middle" of this week and then if it all runs smoothly, push it out. When exactly that means, Thursday, Friday or Saturday, no one knows. It's quite absurd how an organization with as much money as the NFL has so little care for the quality of the product yet has pushed for a 17 game season.
