I like our chances when its a "battle in the trenches".

The Lions OL wasn't bad. Frank Ragnow is a stud, and Sewell held his own. Again, that whole Week 1 thing. I don't put a lot of weight into the "almost comeback". The Lions were a motivated bunch.

You're right that the Eagle OL is better. They also run similar zone runs and read options, that this defense should be used to seeing. Hopefully the Lions game woke them up to understanding how important is it to maintain your gaps and work as one cohesive unit. We really need Kinlaw back, but without him, the remaining guys just need to stay disciplined. Those Lions gashes were mostly Givens, Kerr, and Key losing their gaps.

Their DL, also has some good/great names. more built for pass rushing though IMO. Cox definitely needs to be accounted for on every play. They are a smaller fast defense though. I fully expect the running game to dominate for us. When you're facing a fast defense, you can counter two ways:
1. Run right at them and negate that speed
2. Use that speed against them with misdirection

Those are two things this team can do very well. When you can run the ball against a defense like this, u negate their pass rush by not putting yourselves in those 3rd and long positions. You play with their eyes, make them take that false step, pause for just a second. That's what KS does, he makes even the smartest guys second guess themselves.

I really do see a grind out style game. Trying to get into a shootout with this team would be a mistake. Expect us to try to dominate Time of Possession, limit drives, and shorten the game. Sermon will have his turn in the limelight this week.
Any chance Kinlaw and Moseley play this game?
The Lions O line is ranked ahead of the Eagles in almost every web site I checked. The difference between the 2 can't be that great. All the sites had them close, even the two that had the Eagles higher. However they're ranked they have a good line. By the way, the Niners were ranked ahead of both of them on every site, usually in the top 10.

Maybe, Moseley - Kinlaw is on the verge of being IR'd.

He might as well get his season ending surgery out of the way now so he can be healthy for next season. If this has been bothering him since college why keep missing time each year instead of getting it fixed. Streets can hold his spot down for the year

Kinda amazing how good this team is considering we dont have a first rounder from this regime playing besides McGlinchey.
Just saw the eagles Injury report. there were 14 people on there

Most all of them were maintenance days or veteran rest days. Do you think we actually could get that lucky like Seattle or the Rams playing teams with injuries? Not us
This year is slowly turning until last year. How did this happen so quickly

Good breakdown. The Eagles D line will be a good test for our o line. I think they will hold up well. I agree gonna be a grind out type of game. Hopefully we win the turnover battle and keep penalties to a minimum. They did a great job of that in week one. Not hurting ourselves. Offense came out in sync. AA defending zone read really scares me though. He has a knack for being out of position. what CB will step up and give us some quality play? Should be a another good one

It's bound to happen sooner or later.

Drafted vs FA you mean.

Are we just not counting Bosa and Ayiuk now? To this point in 5 drafts they've had 2 busts (in the 1st draft) and 4 starters. Granted 1 is having some issues now in Kinlaw with the knee.
