DL get your hands up and just rush to keep him contained in the pocket. Let Hurts beat you from the pocket, he won't…
Db's need to keep everything in front of them and make solid tackles. We cannot allow them to turn 2 yard screen passes into 20-30 yard gains.

What I wanna know is how are Dre Kirkpatrick and Josh Norman doing in practice and will both be ready??

Norman will be starting before Kirkpatrick mainly because he knows the system better at this point and he's probably in better shape conditioning-wise

I bet they wanted him to keep it safe and try not to force any passes. He also moved around in and out of the pocket something that has given the 9ers defense fits no matter it was the 2011 or 2019 defense.
Tackling is going to be very important in this one. Don't see the Eagles changing too much on offense and as mentioned their attack was a lot of rpos, quick hitters and dump offs that gained YAC.

If our rush can't get there then we better tackle to keep their gains to minimum.

I'll check back in on this board once we're 2-0. Too much negativity at the moment for my liking

I have abandoned game day thread because of this - used to be my favorite.

A little smack talk is awesome.... "Everyone sucks and is a loser" is not awesome.

Niner Talk actually seems to be getting better though. we have some really smart football people here.

Yeah I don't even check the thread much anymore during a game. It's literally just an emotional roller coaster each play on there and it's mainly negative.

but you are right, there are some really good posters in here with a ton of knowledge.

If kinlaw comes back, it will be huge. We need his run stuffing abulity
Niners better do better on screens and underneath stuff. They didn't do a great job versus Detriot

I would also add that Norman is smart and a good tackler. This game might be right up his alley.

Go, Niners, go!
Have to put the Eagles in this and long each drive to give the pass rush a chance to get home. Can't get a sack when they are throwing 2 second passes for short yardage

True. Fred Warner is going to have a very good game. At least a pick or forced fumble. TFL and plenty of stuffs
