Their pass rush looked good but I'm pretty confident in our OLine

No, I think Jameis Winston sucks. Dude is continuously fools gold for like one or two games, then he turns into his normal "Eat a W and steal some snow crabs from a buffet" self.

Us squeaking by the Lions was the best thing for this team. It feels like a loss but we got the W. A win-win. Now we come into Philly pissed off and focused while the Eagles are over confident.
Worried about this game. DIdn't like what Aiyuck/shanny have going on, lost our starting RB, lost our starting CB, lost of injuries trying to rush back for this game. Eagles looked good, secondary is improved, we stink it up against mobile QBs.

please god lets pull it out!

We got Sermon and Mitchell and Hasty. We will be fine.

!6 more games to go, not counting playoffs. Can we make it through with those 3 guys or will one or more of them get hurt.

You know deep down the answer to that question

You might have a point about Winston. But, for the first time, he finally has a coach that knows how to work with quarterbacks. Let's keep that in mind. Remember that Sean Payton took a chance on Drew Brees when no other team would touch him. It's a decision that ultimately lead to one Super Bowl Championship.

My point is that Payton has proved himself to be a pretty good coach when it comes to working with talented QB's who failed to cut it elsewhere for one reason or another. If Winston is still a promising player, Payton will bring that out of him. This could be another gold mine of opportunity for him.
Haven't been able to enjoy a Niners' victory since the win over GB in the NFC CG. 2020's first W was tainted by the injury to Bosa, and the following 5 wins that season were hardly enjoyable after that. Then yesterday's W was sour because of Verrett's injury.

Who is the sacrifice this week?

i dont think anyone doubts winston ability he is a great qb when hes at his best. He is just so inconsistant and makes bone headed throws i dont think that will change no matter who coaches him

he also had less than 150 yards with 5TD thats the most bizarre statline i have ever seen
So how about Todd Gurley?

Crazy this happens right after the Ravens lose all their RBs and hog all the good free agent ones lol.

Todd if we want a play maker to go with the rookie...

Or Frank Gore if we just want someone to close out the game?

I just have a feeling we're gonna get one of those usual RBs that go team to team every year... or one we had last year.. that little guy who was like a bowling ball.

Verrett is a loss, but I remember thinking we were toast when we lost Staley, then Skule steps up. Bosa was different. We all watched that play and knew immediately the season was over. To me, not having Verrett may mean one more loss, but not a devastating toll. Sucks to lose guys in the first few weeks though!

I agree that losing Verrett is not the same degree as losing Bosa, but the way I watch games now is just different. Every play I look for the injured 49er. It's reaching a point where I almost would rather have a healthy loss in PHI this week than a win with injuries, which is OBJECTIVELY STUPID, of course.

Not confident in this defense. Hurts is going to scramble around and take his shots downfield
