Wow, this was pure shock. He was a very good player for us. 37, man that's just way too young to die. RIP, Parys, you'll always be in our hearts.

I had a friends spouse do just that. Mid 30s i believe.Went to sleep together and only 1 woke up.
s**t i am tearing up just thinking about that. I would rather see it happen than think i woke up first and make a surprise breakfast and "gourmet" coffee.

I hope not suicide, too many former players have fell to that.
But, i do hope it is football/CTE related "natural" death.
I think it is ignored too much at lower levels like peewee and HS.
I think borland got way too much hate and namecalling for seeing it was not worth it.
And if his death changes the way the NFL schedules MNF and TNF along with other ACTUAL steps towards safety.
It might just have beeen worth it

Absolutely shocked. He was a very good niner and a part of that slow buildup from 2006-2009 where we built the core roster for that run under Harbaugh.
I'll always have a soft spot for players like Parys, Manny Lawson, Sopoaga, Who helped set the foundation.
